On an unrelated note, I checked out a Buddist monk today.

I'm guessing that's the wrong thing to do.

Peekin' at the monks now, eh?

:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

 :rolleyes1

One of the people I went to HS with is now a priest. He is georgeous. :upsidedow

Oh, come on. They're kind of cute.

Okay, maybe it's just me.

Once, when my oldest was about three, he walked right through a mandala that some very nice buddists had just completed out of sand. Needless to say, they were extremely cool about the whole thing and just started over.

My cousin is buddhist. He is the most introspective, calm, peaceful person I have ever met.

My BIL is a buddist.

I want to choke him out. Don't worry, I won't. He's well over a foot taller than I am.

I'm guessing he's not really a buddist, but a poser. He's a surgeon and really arrogant. Also, he refuses to go to Disney with the rest of the family. I mean, seriously, there's something wrong with that. And one time, when we were all in the hot tub overlooking the Pacific and having conversations that liberals all have, I realized he wasn't wearing any pants. Which is rude and a little bit oogie.

:confused3 We call that family vacation round here.

My cousin just graduated from Hofstra. When we were younger...he was a nose picker and he wore high-water pants. On purpose.

Of course that has nothing to do with his buddhism...just that he was a bit of a nerd. And it's entertaining for me to remember him BEFORE he grew up to be so cool and stuff.

I went to law school with a girl who was a nose picker. She'd do it right in class; I would just sit there in torts and think "why can't she stop?" She was also a classically trained pianist and was very well-known. Strange.

Which has nothing to do with being a buddist. I just had to add that. I'm not sure why. I appear to be wearing my crazy pants tonight. Could be the in-laws visiting.

Don't tell anyone. But I rarely take off my crazy pants.

And again...that has nothing to do with being a buddhist.

Buddhism, high waters, and nose pickers..........Man I :lovestruc you all! :flower3:

That's what we aim for!

And, re the Bush thread, The Manilow was my first celebrity crush. Don't make fun of me. I was like 10 and thought he was a handsome fellow!

I have always had a weakness for blondes. Which totally explains why I married an Asian dude.
