Nice is fine. But, don't stop standing up for what you believe.
And don't be ashamed. We've all been there.![]()
What she said.

Good evening, fellow libs. THought I'd share that I was reprimanded for the first time today--twice actually, for the same thread--for "minor personal attacks." I've been on the board for NINE years (actually, before then, since it was before this "disBoard" opened). This is my first "infraction." One was really very minor, commenting on negative assertion in someone's signature, something I've always found offensive. The second was against a poster who is so full of Anti-Obama venom that she needs no introduction....
I can't decide if I'm ashamed of myself or proud that I finally said what I thought to two arch neo-cons who post often. Hmmmm.
Ashamed wins but only by a bit.
Just sharing.
Knew only you all would understand. I'm going back into nice mode....
Well, you have me beat. I don't forage. My idea of foraging is heading to Wal-mart on a Saturday afternoon with the masses. O' course...when you only have Wal-mart, you have to suffer in silence.
There are times I'm more vocal about my dislike for the devil. (aka: Wal-mart)
I usually sob when I turn my cart up and down the aisles.
Confession: I had my oil changed at Walmart recently.
For penance, I forced myself to use their bathrooms.

We're delaying. We decided to spend this holiday season playing a slide puzzle (one of THESE) with our home.I spent the day decorating my house for the holidays.
You and I have been around the DIS for about the same time. I think we both have the "August, 1999" join date because that's the last time Pete had major problems with the server and everyone's account was "reset". I too received my very first points earlier this year ... and it wasn't even for a political threadGood evening, fellow libs. THought I'd share that I was reprimanded for the first time today.
I can't get myself in gear for Christmas decorating either. I've put up and taken down the outside decoration twice already. I make my final stand this week. It's it or me.![]()
Just remember that rove will not be able to claim executive privilege after January 20 and the new DOJ is going to make Rove testify at some point. Rove is going to have even more legal bills to pay after 1-20-09 and needs this book to be a best seller. Also reserved for between the covers of Rove's book is his checklist of the "great many of the political actors in this town (who) never accepted him as a legitimate president."
"I've got behind-the-scenes episodes that are going to show how unreceiving they were of this man as president of the United States," Rove said, adding: "I'm going to name names and show examples."
Oh No. Rove is going to write a book (he has a lot of legal fees to pay) and will name names of people who did not consider bush to be the legitimate president of the United States. http://www.statesman.com/news/content/news/stories/nation/12/07/1207bushinside.htmlJust remember that rove will not be able to claim executive privilege after January 20 and the new DOJ is going to make Rove testify at some point.
