Obama is the nominee.

Pelosi has said so on Stephanopolis (she tried to stay oh so coy)...but....the Facts:

- She states that who ever gets the most delegates gets the nomination.
- She says the popular vote is irrelevent. (Like the National Election)
- She says not getting the minimum amount of delegates is irrelevent. (Unlike the Naitonal Election).
- She has stated for a week that both candidates wouldn't be on the ticket (she had decided on this before Texas/Ohio...which is why EVERYONE was demanding HC to quit.)
- She has no problem with disenfranchising FL & MI. (putting those states in play for the Republicans).
- She says that whatever happens during the next 3 weeks of vetting on Obama is irrelevent. Rezco, Uncle Racist, Moral Compass of Hate, Hypocrocy of not wanting the FL & MI voters to vote....none of it matters nor WILL it matter.

I apologize to those of you who indicated that this nominating process would cause McCain to win. You were right & I was wrong. I had no idea that Dean & Pelosi had already decided the nomination was over. I had no idea that they would knowingly decide to disenfranchise the voters of FL & MI. I had no idea that with their nominating rules stating that the SuperDs would decide in the event of neither candidate getting the required number of delegates that they would IGNORE THEIR OWN RULES. & with 3 freaking months before the convention & prior to 40% of Democrats getting to vote, Pelosi & Dean (& others) have decided to FIX the nomination.

I'm beyond disgusted.....& I will watch the vetting of Obama with laser focus as the Hypocritical statements & actions continue.

.

I think Pelosi is talking out of her rear end. Nothing has been decided yet.

She was indeed doing that, but watch the 3 minute segment of her 15 min. interview. It was all so obvious. & now it makes sense that HC was crucified for not bowing out before TX & Ohio. Why she was crucified for raising logical questions the past couple of weeks.

BO (& Pelosi, Dean & others) already knew the deal was over (since she couldn't catch up in delegates)....but they didn't bother to tell the rest of us. Heck, i bet some media folks were told this as well (only reason I can come up with for Olberman's over the top responses for HC just being a politician).

Oh don't get yourself in an uproar.... Last time I checked there are primaries straight through June 3rd.... She's not looking to disenfranchise FL & MI voters, however their legislator's knowingly broke the DNC rules knowingly, FL isn't willing or able to fix it, MI looks like they have put a plan together for a primary on June 3rd.... I think the death of either candidate is far reaching at this point. And what Pelosi says, well, she is only but one Super Candidate... maybe the others feel differently....

I obviously have my preference, and I can tell you in no uncertain terms it's not John McCain

I don't think the Dems could keep a conspiracy like that without something leaking. Maybe that's what Pelosi and Dean want, but I doubt there is a conspiracy to achieve it.

Rep. Tom Davis (R-VA), who is retiring this year, told the Washington Post: “You have a very unhappy electorate, which is no surprise, with oil at $108 a barrel, stocks down a few thousand points, a war in Iraq with no end in sight and a president who is still very, very unpopular. He’s just killed the Republican brand

And still no "McCain Republicans unite!" thread to speak of...who'da thunk it?!?!

They won't change their minds until the price of the kool-aid itself goes up!

We don't need one. McCain will do himself in.

He's in Iraq now. Maybe he'll come back and tell us how wonderful things are and how safe it is. Must be real safe when you're surround by 100+ heavily armed troops, escorted by armed helicopters, and transported on the ground in a heavily armed vehicle surrounded by other troops and heavily armed vehicles. Life is good if you're on the ground McCain-style.

Wonder if he has Lindsey Graham in tow again touting the ever burgeoning Iraqi economy with another breathless "I bought 5 rugs for 5 bucks!!!" quote? It would be a laugh riot if these guys weren't actually in charge of our governemnt...

A Republican said this?? Thought they had to stand in line and tow the party line :scared1:

It's amazing the freedom these guys feel once they announce that they're leaving government life behind. I'm sure he'll need a long hot shower and go through his fair share of toothbrushes after eating **** for the Bush Administration all these years...

Lets see how they resolve the FL & MI votes.

BO supporters prefer to show outrage against Ferraro & I prefer to show outrage over how 35 million voters (i guess half are democrats......say 18 million voters) in MI & FL aren't allowed to have their vote count.

Maybe not a conspiracy, but it darn well explains why the leadership is..... dragging their feet on FL & MI.....were mad when HC didn't concede prior to TX & Ohio....& lose a gasket anytime they perceive a "shot" is made at their assumed nominee.

If there isn't a definitive popular vote winner (given that neither won enough delegates), then this nomination will be a sham.

I don't know if this has been discussed here...don't remember reading about it, but how about the idea of splitting the pledged delegates 50/50 and allowing the Florida/Michigan supers to vote as they see fit? It seems like the cheapest, easiest way to go, and the DNC doesn't have to now reward Florida and Michigan for originally breaking the rules...

That may work for Florida, but it looks like Michigan is putting up the money and resources to have a full fledge primary. I don't know how or why BO supporters are being accused of not wanting people's votes counted, they absolutely should be in a fair way. A fully sanctioned primary is fair... A primary that was KNOWN to be unsanctioned is not fair.... so Florida has a problem :confused3

I was watching our local news this morning and a number of my fellow Floridians, both Clinton & Obama supporters, were complaining how a revote would a waste of money, seeing the pledged delegate split wouldn't make a substantial difference in the final delegate count anyway. The general feeling was that the money raised could definitely be put to better use.

On the Con thread, they're looking for a line to chant at their rallies. Isn't it obvious?

Mac is Back........Four More Years!!

Well, he was winning against both Democratic candidates in poll's yesterday, so they could be quite correct....

Now that just doesn't make the rest of the country happy... it would be far too simple, far too inexpensive... It is interesting to talk to Floridian's who both did vote and did not vote when they knew their Presidential vote wasn't going to be counted. Most homeowner's voted because of the homeowner amendment... which means the Democrats who rent for the most part probably stayed home... have they made mention of that in the news at all down there?
