It looks like she wants to take the party down with her.

Well, after 15 years I've had it with her. I've supported her since before her husband won the election. It wasn't easy being the only person in the room who liked her for all these years. I even convinced my ELW to support her. But now, particularly after this last week, I quit. No more.
I feel like I've been used by her and everyone knew it but me. Her concern should be to win the nomination, not let the Republican guy win it. She has turned out, to me, to be everything negative everyone has said about her for 15 years.
What's worse, all her trash talk is going to hurt her if she wins the nomination, or Obama if he does.
I'll vote for her if she does win, but once again it will be because I'm voting against the other guy, not for someone.

Hmmm, interesting. I tend to agree. Obama's people are great. They are all fired up because their candidate is "different" and he will "change" things. However, there does not seem to be the type of institutional experience that Clinton people have. Obama people expected to canonize a Saint and instead found themselves in the middle of a political campaign. I just wonder if Obama is personally that naive as well?

I've asked this before-and I'm going to ask it again. Can we PLEASE stick to bashing candidates and STOP bashing supporters????

Well very little that Obama has said offends me. However, the way his supporters are acting is offensive. I guess I will slink over to the Hillary thread where I can voice my concerns without being told to keep quiet.

How will the party be able to unify in November if we spend months hating each other???

Honestly, when the Hillary thread was started, I posted there a bit. I was still undecided but leaning towards Barack. But after a while, it was all about how Barack's supporters are naive and brainwashed that it got annoying. I've been back more recently, though, and I haven't been bashing Hillary's supporters, thank you very much.

Even politicians get sick and tired of having to hold their nose and say thank no matter what.

Just throwing a thought out here. Does anybody think for a moment that Hillary is STILL in the campaign because she thinks, she might just get the SD's? Or does SHE KNOW she will get the SD's?

I think Hillary is still in the campaign because she can't let go. To let go means all that crap she's taken from Bill, all the invectives thrown her way, etc. have gone for naught.

To drop out means to lose all and a good part of "her 35 years of experience".

Does this have anything to do with Obama ratcheting up on the negative campaign?

I put Hillary Clinton in the same category with Karl Rove. Both of them needed a red hot poker shoved up their *** by someone who can play dirtier than they do. Let's hope Obama figures it out.

"Vote of the People"? or the Caucus Goers?

I do think that the winner of the popular vote is the candidate that the Supers will break toward.

Obama has also won more primaries than Clinton. Sorry, but yes, it is the vote of the people.

My problem isn't so much the caucus as it is the open system in some states. I think Democrats should vote for the Democratic candidate and Republicans should vote for the Republican one. I don't see a need for crossing over. And I personally know of people that did this for Hillary...I still think it's wrong. It skews the whole thing where it's hard to know what the constituents want. Let people cross the line and vote for the other party during the final election if they want, but let's choose our own party's candidate.

So, if I'm a moderate to conservative Democrat, and have been a fan of a particular Republican candidate for years that happens to fall closer to my own beliefs than the crop of Democrats that are running, I shouldn't be able to have a say in helping get that Republican the nomination? I don't agree with that at all.

By doing what, exactly? Mailing out flyers that ACCURATELY state that Hillary was adamantly for NAFTA before she was against it? How exactly is that "ratcheting up on the negative campaign", as opposed to Hillary's constant praising of McCain in contrast to Obama?

Other than the "I'll vote for her if she does win" part, I agree with the above whole-heartedly. At this point, I won't be voting for president if she somehow steals the nomination. I'll vote for my local races - you know, actual DEMOCRATS that are running - but not for her. Maybe she can get Rove to leave Faux News to run her campaign, since she already seems to be using his playbook (you know...accusing your opponent of things that you did, things like that).

Simple answer: we won't. And frankly, I have no desire to be "unified" with people that feel the need to insult me rather than the candidate every time they decide to say something negative. I said it before and I'll keep repeating it: look through the two candidate support threads, and count the number of times Obama supporters are insulted ("kool aid" drinkers...cult members" and then do the same for how many times Clinton supporters are insulted (umm...well....I can't think of any). If that is the type of party the Democrats have become, then I need to change my registration to Independent, because it certainly doesn't represent me or my interests any more.

I haven't heard any speeches Obama has given praising McCain's fitness to be President.

In the general election if nominated, he would concede his foreign policy experience but contrast it with BO's "judgement"....ultimately a non-issue since BO would smoke him on 6 other issues.


There's a difference between praising his war record and service to the country and praising his fitness to lead the country. Perhaps Hillary and her supporters are missing that fine line. They'll see it clearly in November when all those commercials come out from the McCain camp with Hillary's own kind words in them.

There will be attack ads with or w/o Hillary's (or BOs) words.

Beats me.....i was supporting Edwards....I want to "blow up" all health insurance companies.

BO &/or his staff needs to refocus on discussing his strengths & not complain about how his opponent is defining a "perceived weakness". If he gets the nomination, i'll be supporting him & he & his staff need to buck up.

Actually what Barak Obama needs to do is shove Hillary under the bus. She doesn't want to debate ideas. She wants to use the "Karl Rove" playbook. He needs to rattle her to the point where the next moron on her campaign staff who strays off the reservation gets a shot to the schwatz.

Then, he should refocus his campaign.

& fwiw, if HC doesn't get the nomination, she'll be one of the most powerfull senators in the US.

If BO gets the nomination, he & his supporters better respond to the republican attacks more deftly than the above.
