Epcot ​

We woke up at 4:30am . We were ready for Epcot and we got there for a very early opening, when we were waiting the Soarin’ music was played and we knew every part. Our first time at Epcot this year and we could remember the ride like the back of our hand. We saw the Test Track family of the day, it wasn’t us . We were stopped at the line and I was wearing my Minnie Mouse princess ears and all the characters came up to me for some pictures.

Yep we all woke up so early thanks to the jetlag but it meant we could get to Epcot very early If you hadn’t guessed yet Epcot is our favourite park! When we got there I noticed some free turnstiles so after checking the green light was on we scored front of the queue Next to us a guy came up and went to the front of the next turnstile, well a rather large English man thought he was the front of that queue but was standing about 8 foot back so a big argument started. The English man said “are you taking the piss?” “Do you think I’m a mug?” I was thinking OMG the American man will have no clue what you’re talking about Anyway after quite a bit of arguing and the American offering the English man front of the queue, which he wouldn’t accept, we finally got in, great start to the most magical place on earth huh



When we were allowed to go through we walked over to TT fast passed it and also rode it. When we got off the ride we went straight back on. The family of the day also went round again. Mum and I went and rode Mission Space. . This little boy was already to get on our ship but he started to cry so in the end we got the simulator to ourselves : When we got off we messed around in the space lab and made some videos.

Whilst we were on Mission Space Dad and Ellie went and fast passed Soarin’ and rode the land. We all met outside of Nemo and rode it and went in Turtle Talk. This little boy asked Crush, well it wasn’t a question he said: I play with my trains!!! His parents were sitting right behind us and they were so embarrassed. We saw people coming out of Turtle talk with Dream Fast passes and it was just before us. We got an ice-cream as we were all so hungry. We went and rode on Test track again and guess what some more dreams that weren’t for us. Ears but that doesn’t matter, Mum saw people with them after we got loaded into our car.

Once we got off they shut it, just as it started to rain, and they shut the track. Ellie had been desperate to go in some cars so we have a few pictures of us in a convertible.

As per family tradition TT had to be the first ride of the trip

We went to Le Cellier. We walked through the arch saying Le Cellier Steakhouse. There was a little pond with this weird noise, which I thought was a jammed fountain.

We went through the doors and I was looking for the hidden Mickey and I found it. . We had a really nice booth right in the corner as far as possible from the check in desk.

Our menu:

Me: New York strip steak with fries, I thought it was lovely
Ellie: Doesn’t like steak and we told her its like a burger but nicer. So she decided to have a cheeseburger.
Dad: Filet with mushrooms he thought it was ok!
Mum: she had the same as me but thought it was OK ish. Not as nice as last year.

Before Ellie got her burger the server had a craving for pizza and she wrote down the wrong order, so they brought out a cheese pizza and Ellie wanted a burger . She wasn’t impressed. Ellie said “can I try a bit of your steak Mum and Jess?” and so I had to and I was enjoying it and she didn’t eat all of her burger. Now Ellie loves Steak! The server was extremely apologetic and kept coming over to say sorry!!

For dessert we ordered 3x Campfire smores for us 3 girls and dad ordered the crème Brulee.

Last year Le Cellier was by far our best meal of the trip, David even insisted that we book it twice this trip, well this year the steak was well just OK, not the melt in the mouth meat we had last year, I was so disappointed



We finished our meals and headed out to use our fast passes for Soarin’ we love the video that introduces the ride. We were in Concourse 2. The man with the ears and the little boy used to crack us up. Now it is the couple that have the hat and goggles. We were in room C and row 3 the worst of the lot.

We had a great ride and we saw all of the hidden Mickey’s on Soarin’ there were 3 in the end. We headed over to Space Ship Earth because Ellie really wanted to ride and it was shut last year, we waited about 10 minutes. The end was brilliant but I didn’t like the going down backwards bit. As it was in the dark. It’s educational and I was on my vacation Ahhhh!! We took some pictures and here they are. Dad and I went together and Mum and Ellie went together.

After that we went back to the hotel and we were all debating whether to have a swim before sleep or the other way round!! In the end we had to have a sleep and then swim. Ellie and I didn’t really sleep we played on our Nintendo DS’s and listened to our I-pods.


We so all needed a sleep to try and get us on to Florida time, I managed to sleep for a little while


We went for a relaxing swim, went back to the room and got ready to go to DTD on the boat. We had a driver called Alvin and he said he couldn’t park it at the dock. When we got there there was a great big thud and I said ‘we are here.’ We went to Earl of Sandwich and then went shopping. First we went to Team Mickey and no hat (Chicago bulls from last year) Then went to World of Disney and then went back home for an early night. But before we went we went to Goofy’s Candy co. and brought these as snack credits.

Mine: Milk chocolate, M‘n’M, White chocolate drizzle and pink pixie dust

Ellie’s: Milk chocolate, Sprinkles, White and caramel drizzle and purple pixie dust.

We went home and were in bed by 9pm.


Today was David’s day for eating as his other food request was Earl of Sandwich, we don’t have anything like that here and he loves the BLT, I love the cupcakes so we were both happy

If you read my TR from last year you will remember how David really wanted this cap and we searched high and low for it (he saw it the first day but someone, ummm me, said to not buy it and wait and then we never saw it again) so the search was on again this year, well Team Mickey doesn’t stock them anymore We then just wandered, I can’t even remember if we bought anything, as Jess said we then made the Goofys stuff, such a great snack credit before heading home exhausted!

Your photos are great - sounds like Spaceship Earth is really good. Shame about Le Cellier - I loved it when I went in 2006 and was looking forward to going this October. You said you had booked it twice this trip - did you go again? if you did, was the food any better? or do I have to wait and see from your later trip report?
