When our lawn mower broke and wouldn't run, my wife kept hinting to me that I should get it fixed. But, somehow I always had something else to take care of first. the truck, the car, fishing, always something more important to me.
Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point.

When I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass, busily snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing scissors. I watched silently for a short time and then went into the house. I was gone only a few minutes. When I came out again I handed her a toothbrush.
"When you finish cutting the grass," I said, "you might as well sweep the sidewalk."
The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always have a limp.

In our house, nobody touches the lawnmower but me. I actually LIKE mowing the lawn, using either the ride-on or the push mower. The ride-on is kind of fun to drive around on. :lmao: The OCD in me loves the repetitious back and forth over the lawn, and I find the neatly trimmed lawn quite pleasing to look at. It also smells delightful!

I had (had) a CRAFTSMAN that would not die. Thing was beat up and the transmission on the self-propel was pretty much shot. Which meant it was about as fast as Christmas.

Never changed the oil and would run over things that would choke any other mower. Kept on chugging away and that blade always stayed sharp.

17 years later.....DEATH to 'ole Silver and I got me a new Honda! :Pinkbounc
