I haven't heard a specific date but yes that's pretty much what I've heard. Initial previews will be limited to AP/DVC/CM but should open up later for everyone.

Is there a way to sign up in advance for the AP preview? Or is there at least a way to know when it is going to be?

There will be advanced notice. How much I don't know. Also unsure if there will be a sign up or first come first serve.

I truly hope so.... It's soo confusing..I currnetly have an ARD at Sanaa at 545 & w/ a 7 pm closing I might have to juggle things around a bit...

Having similar dilemma with dinner reservation at Boma, not knowing if it will allow enough time to get back for ROL, or if ROL/ROL preview will even be available by then.

It's actually pretty frustrating... Because we were hoping for a full night of festivities... Also a couple of Refurbs going on to which is a damper, but we'll make do.

I also was originally hoping for a whole evening of entertainment at AK, and they are now set to close at 8:30PM during my early November visit, but I'd hoped they would be open until around 11PM. Yes, I also find it frustrating that we all have to plan ADRs 180 days out and FPs 60 days out but here it is about a month away and there are still many unknowns regarding AK evening schedules and ROL. Similarly, I also had to rearrange some of my plans for Epcot/DHS because recently it turned out the DHS fireworks will only be certain nights of the week, and of course they don't have them on the day I'd planned to be at DHS, so now I have to leave Epcot early on another evening, to see the DHS fireworks.

Probably the 4th or 5th?
That's when we arrive but have things planned out @ other parks....

the 5th we have a later dinner at CG to coincide w/ fireworks, and then Sunday 6th we have R&C(EPCOT) at 7 pm to coincide w/ Illuminations.

We changed Nov 3rd to have evening in the park. Animal Kingdom is open till 8:30 every night I'm there from the 29th-5th as of right now.

Still this year planning our semi annual November trip has been the hardest in 10 years.....

I think you are hoping for too much in a 11 pm closing in November. It's still the offseason and the MK doesn't even stay open that late on most nights.

My guess is that they will extend to 8:30 also, but I could be wrong. If Rivers of Light is going to go live at the end of October like rumor'd at least.
