Morning all.
I just have one thing to say. Noooooooooooooo!!!!! No painting my nails or putting make-up on me. Ick! Nononononononononono!!

Yep, I got a grill!!! Makes my old charcoal grill look tiny too! I can't wait to burn somethi...er, try it out!! It even has a side burner. Wait... that means DW may try to make me cook even more stuff on it. Which means... Kimmie, we have the same cooking skills. Won't DW be in for a surprise!! Bwahahahahahaha!!!!

Speaking of food.... I'm off to scrounge up something to eat. I'll ketchup w/ ya'll Ya Ya's later!

Well I finally got the GC's and a little giftie to go with it for the neices and nephews and Im finally done shopping. Thank heavens because those people out there are NUTS.

Now I just have to wrap my kids gifts after they go to bed tonight.

But... but... but... I was only documenting the event for the Ya Ya yearbook.... But someone erased all the pics from my digital camera. Sooooo... no evidence of the pillow fight. And no evidence of the jello wrestling. And no evidence of the, well, I won't go on.... Let's just say I'll have the memories to last a lifetime. And what a *wonderful* bunch of memories they are!!

Back from "in law Christmas"! It was fairly painless. Everyone got along for a change...my SILs must be on prozac!!! Or maybe it's just the Christmas spirit!!! On to the next thing!! Back tonight!

Falling asleep by the Christmas tree. What a wonderful feeling. Karen, thank you for the warm memory of doing something so simple but so pleasurable.

If Shep and Jay are coming to the Slumber party then they have to live with the green fingernail polish and the letting us dye their hair lime green. You know if we meet in Chicago, then maybe Dan could show up. Oh this has fun written all over it. I think Chicago is only 5-6 hours from here and it sounds like so much fun. I have visions of an Ohio caravan rolling up the interstate towards Chicago, much like the visions of sugar plums dancing in my head.

The party last night was a complete success. Everyone had a great time. The friends that Chris hangs out with are so thoughtful and polite.

I did some Christmas shopping today, well I actually started my Christmas shopping today. Tomorrow I have to buy two more gifts for family and friends and then on to Circuit City to buy new cell phones for Chris and Allison(we are changing services) So, the end of shopping is almost here and then to wrap. I am starting to get into the Christmas spirit. Is it me or does it make anyone else especially happy during the time of rushing and stressing to be extra kind to everyone and say nice things to strangers just to see their reaction. I love Christmas. But I really miss family members who are no longer with me. But I love the feeling I get just remembering those special times with them.

Well, Jay, if you're gonna party with the girlies, ya gotta go with the flow! If we're gonna do each other's hair, you might end up with curlers! If we're gonna do each other's nails, you'll be included! I have the neatest pair of false eyelashes with silver tips that you could try when we play "makeover" on each other too! And when Nancy says we play games at slumber parties, she doesn't mean Twister!! How about a little Truth or Dare??!!!

Carol, I hope Roland will admit that it's not "just a cold" at this point and go to the Dr. At least you're better and we're very glad you're back with us!

Kimmie, I sure hope you're not coming down with anything! Maybe your sore throat is leftover from Cam's party and will go away if you rest it? Hope, hope...........wouldn't want you to be sick for Christmas. What is it about that music that makes us so emotional? Amazing Grace does it to me too and I will be a mess at church Christmas Eve because we will do Silent Night again (singing) and do the "pass the flame" thing with everybody holding candles and they turn off all the lights. It's just so beautiful.

Jodie, I'm so glad things were so peaceful for you at the inlaws today! That can be such a strain, I know.

Karen, the pizza went well and even a little Margarita??!!! Whooo Hooo, girl!! That's great news!! I just KNOW you're on the mend and will soon be garbaging it up with the rest of us! And no swearing while putting together a scooter? WOW, did you tape his mouth first or something??!!!

I got my packages to the Pak Mail place and the guy guaranteed everything will be delivered Tuesday. Cost me an arm and a leg, but it's my own fault for procrastinating so long, right?!! Oh well, I'm done. And if I read the last couple of pages right, everybody else is just about done too. Whew!! Let's gather 'round the fireplace and sing Christmas carols and share a little Christmas cheer! Was that Nancy who offered to spike the eggnog? I'll have a litte of that, please! We've gotta give Jodie a great send-off as she takes off for the World, too! Jingle Bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way.......Beth dons her Mickey mouse Santa hat and dances across the room singing........

Went to Michaels. Apolonia was sad cause her Dad had fewer gifts under their tree. We bought a T-shirt, decals, and shirt pens. Made a shirt that she wrote: You are the greatest (then DAD in decals) in the whole world and you rock!

Got a white hat for Mom with a "LOVE" (in a flower} decal, put the decal on the beak of the hat and she wrote something on the back.

We wrapped them up.

She is staying again tonite.

Oh nooooooo I had to save us from Page Two!!

Well I am paying tonight for my transgressions this weekend into spicy foods. Ugh I feel ratty. I had a whole three raviolis with no sauce and a half a can of warm soda to try and settle my stomach. Drat and I thought I was doing so well. I guess I did too much too fast.

Yes, Carol, Christin did go to the movie and lunch with us. What a treat that she is old enough now that she actually likes going places with us (of course we pay ).
That was why we changed from pizza to Chinese...she's had pizza 3 times last week (oh, a student's diet ).
We saw "Two Weeks Notice". Cute movie!

Tomorrow is a special "fun" day with my long-time friend
We're going downtown (Seattle). (Getting there isn't fun though.)
To look at the deocrations and of course, I'm sure some shopping will be included even though we are done All the BIG stores are there.

The Ya Yas were busy...Christmas deadlines to dodge!
There's shopping and wrapping and cooking to do
And some of the Ya Yas will soon visit Pooh!
They checked on eachother whenever they could
And reminded the "Lodge men" the fire needs more wood!
And right about this time every night
They gather together so they don't lose sight,
That Christmas is full of many wonderful things
Not the least of which is the joy the Ya Ya Lodge brings!!!




Felt the need to rhyme tonight ya'll! Karen I am sorry your stomach is poopy again....don't get discouraged!!! You've been doing well!! It will take some trial and error to see what will work and what won't. Take your medication and rest!

Jodie I am not going to let this get me down . I think I just did too much too fast. I took my meds and am starting to feel a little bit better already. I've also been working with petite yaya on his phonics and that's been keeping my mind off of it. It's just so neat watching him "get it". He even asked to work on his workbooks tonight!!

Oh I loved it when my two started to "get" the phonics thing!!! The process of a child learning to read is a wonderful thing to watch! Those first words read all by themselves are precious...enjoy Karen!
