UGH! Christmas wrapping is DONE!!!!! And no, I didn't wrap them in bags either Gwen even "helped" me too So excuse this post... it will be short because I am tired after doing all that (back hurts).

As for that sleep over... no comment on what I wear. Kimmie can vouch though that I do wear nightgowns in front of others

Karen, good news about the tummy. I hope it stays that way!

The party is still going here. I have about 30 teens in the basement. Some didn't get off work until late and have arrived in the past hour. I have made pizza bagels, mini tacos, all sorts of snacks, vegetable tray, cheese tray and popcorn. I don't think anyone will go home hungry. The last time I went down I think there was only one piece of cake left.

Hi Kim, Elaine, Nancy, Karen, Michele, and Beth. Sure have missed all of you.

I have some eggnog to share with everyone. Who would like theirs spiked?

Well, I spent part of my evening assembling one of my Christmas presents. I got a new gas grill. I sorta couldn't miss it. UPS delivered it a couple days ago in a huge box that weighed 85 pounds. Even said on the outside what it was, so it was hard to miss it. But now it's ready to go! Well, except for that gas tank thing... gotta go get a full tank tomorrow. Time to practice on it a couple times before throwing anniversary steaks on there in 10 days.

But like I said DD always had a slumber party!!
So glad they could stay int he basement. Two floors helped some with the noise.

Got all my shopping done yesterday except for a GC for my cousin and I am done!

For the first time in YEARS, I won't have to be out on C. Eve trying to finish up!!

Ya'll were quiet last night. The holidays are looming and the Ya Yas are busy I think!

Christmas with the in-laws this morning (give me strength!!!) then more packing to do. The kids and I are meeting my cousin from Chicago in Williamsburg tomorrow (she is in North Carolina with her parents for the holidays and Williamsburg was a good meeting place) to spend a little time together. We were best buds growing up and it's hard being so far away. I have promised her we will visit this summer so we will be in Chicago at some point ya'll....I smell a dis meet!! And the point of this was....oh yeah....since most of tomorrow is booked there are a million things to do this afternoon and since Bob is working all day guess who that leaves to get it all done? That would be me! So if i am "scarce" today that's why!

I wish he would go - he's been ill over two weeks now. Getting him to the doctor's is one of the hardest things in the world. Getting him to even take cough medicine is hard enough, though he's beginning to see the sense in it. He says he's sure he's feeling better today but that niggly cough every 5 seconds is back. Sorry to go on, I worry about him.

Good morning everyone!!!!

How is everyone this fine and wonderful day??? Anyone up to anything fun?? I just took our youngest out on his tricycle and he rode up and down the street. We had the BEST time out there.

Last night I fell asleep with the tree on. It was so magical falling asleep in the soft glow of the christmas lights. The house and living room just looked so pretty.

I have GOT to go get those GC's today and Im going to try to pick up some Nicole Mullen CDs. Thank you Kim for turning me on to them. She is wonderful.

Sherry, so glad that you got your shopping done. I am still thrilled that everything is bought and wrapped for Christmas. We aren't wrapping the cats' gifts but they will just be opened for them Christmas morning

Jodie, I hope you have a good time with your family. Did you say Chicago meet? I think I am up for that! I love that city and any excuse I can find to go there, I will!!

Karen, I love just laying by the tree and falling asleep with the lights on. Very beautiful

Well today I have to go set up the tree at my dad's help with my family (and I HATE putting up and decorating trees... I did mine and that is enough for me!). So I will be out this afternoon I think. I hope you all have a great day!

Good morning YaYas! I had every intention of doing a complete ketchup last night, but got soooo tired, and this morning, I started to ketch up, but given the fact that I still have to do some shopping (helping mom with hers) and have yet to wrap a single gift, the whole ketchup thingy is looking rather overwhelming... soooo... I cheated. I'm gleaning from Beth's ketchup post instead. From there, I discovered that Bonnie got her ring (YAY!!!!!), Karen ate pizza and Mexican (hmmm...now how about a Mexican pizza!? ) Jay had pizza w/pineapple, (eeewie....if we have pineappled pizza at the slumber party, Jay can have my pineapple) and Elaine was lazy and wanted to use brown paper bags to wrap stuff, but I saw later where she and Gwen eventually got the job done.

Before I totally bailed on ketching up, I noticed that all seem to be reporting whether or not they sleep au naturele. Well.... I'll never tell...but I can vouch for Elaine and say that she definitely wears nightgowns in front of others.

I'm not totally sure yet, but I think I have a little bit of a sore throat. Geez....this just bites! Right before Christmas!?! That's SO not fair!

Pam, I'll wrap your 6 gifts if you wrap my hundred or so. I'm not cleaning your toilet though!

We're painting Jay's nails lime green? Ok...can we put makeup on him too?

Oh! Nancy!! Thank you for the.... er.... Christmas e-card! Ummm....do you think the "elves" could come to the slumber party?!

Beth played Silent Night on the bells and got teary! I would tooooo!!!! You know what gets me every time? Amazing Grace on the bagpipes! Ack! Can't get through that one w/o tearing up.

Betty, I promise not to mention Cam's house to Chris. Although he can come and play anytime as long as he doesn't mind playing Super Smash Brothers, Kirby and Mario with Cam. LOL! Oh... and I'm sure they'll also be watching Spongebob on DVD.

Carol, Tell Roland all the YaYas are going to come cheeto him if he doesn't go to the dr. soon.

Karen, I'm so glad you enjoyed the samples! Like I said last night...her stuff just seems to speak to me in a way no other artist has done in a very long time.
