I skimmed but wanted to say how happy I am about Bonnie's DIAMOND....yay TIM!!!!! That is just fabfabfab!

Just did a 3-hour drive in about 6 hours...the usual: torrential rain, unbelievable gridlock and horrific accident scenes...I am safely at my parents' home though. And in the nick of time...do these people know it's CHristmas????? Where're my hemorrhoid ring wreaths...

I'm beat but wanted to at least drop in...leave a nightnight post for KIM, say hello to the Night owls..hey Nancy ...

...and CAROL so good to have ya back...next time more goodies..there're a couple of piggies around here...oink.

Jodie....so no Lord of the Rings. DD saw it and said it had a lot more fighting in it than the first....so I would watch that for the young kiddies.
I want to see it but not enough to fight crowds, so I'll wait awhile.

Jennifer...the pens are VERY cute!

Bonnie....Wow!! What a GREAT present. He did do good!!

LOL...Elaine, If people were looking at you funny for taking 2 maps, I wonder what they thought when I was taking 10!! I really did. I have 3 sets to give to people here and one for us and the rest I save in case people "need" them.

DH's company party went well....but they were so slow getting started.
I was anxious to get home because DD had arrived while I was gone.
Some of the guys had gone out to deep fry turkeys!!
Well, we started eating anyway and by the time they got back with them, everyone was full. They fried 4 turkeys!! There were only about 50 people there. Needless to say...lots left. I think we only made it through one.

Got a nice exchange gift...and then I ducked out to see DD.
It is always nice to have her home....for awhile anyway

So I will be sharing the computer for awhile....that part I don't like.

A wooden angel and a wooden tree
They are quite cute. Kind of a rough cut/country style.
Our gift to exchange we took was quite popular It was a remote control Santa tray ....LOL A Santa, about 3 feet tall holding a tray over his head
We did that exchange where you pick something and then someone can take it away or pick a new gift and after 3 "takes" it stays. The remote stayed It was kind of cool and they had fun running it around the room all night.

Well, there are bad sides to DD being home...she is hounding me for the computer so I guess I'm going off for the night

Busy day today! Gifts to wrap and suitcases to pack!!!

Jeannie....glad you made it to your Mom and Dads safely last night. Bet I know who they were waiting on Christmas for! The lilboo "Christmas spirit" of course!!!! Ya gotta smile when you're around!!!

I'll be checking in off and on today. Hope everybody has a great last day of Fall....do you believe THAT??? It has felt like winter for quite qwhile hasn't it? Later ya'll!!

Good morning Jodie!! Good morning everyone!!

Why is it when we are in Disney the kids will sleep till the cows come home but when we are at home they are up at the crack of dawn??? Just one weekend I would love to sleep in past 6:30 LOL

Not doing too much today. I have gift certificates to buy and clothes to get ready to pack for Disney next week but other than that it will be a quiet weekend. I will probably wrap gifts tonight when the kidlets go to bed.

Good morning everyone! I feel silly, I must have been so worn out yesterday that I went to bed very early. Luis came to be at about midnight and I was cranky because he was taking too long to get ready for bed Worrying wears me out as does joints that are killing me so I just hope that was all there was to it!

Nancy, what is really funny was I wound up without any maps for myself by the time I got home I wonder what happened there! I swore I picked up 2 for Jennifer and then another one. Oh well.....

Michele, sorry you were sick, but glad you are feeling better! Glad to know it didn't last too long!

I am with the rest of you who will be wrapping gifts today. Not my favorite thing to do but I guess it has to be done! Speaking of which, off to find the wrapping paper!

Elaine Im with you. I dont like to wrap presents either. Its one of my most hated jobs at Christmas time. I dont mind shopping but I hate the wrapping LOL. Poor dh gets rooked into helping me every year because I get so frustrated doing it. He doesnt mind wrapping.

Betty - gorgeous photo of your kids! We don't have anything like that over here so I loved living it second hand - the trouble was all worth it, your DD looked stunning!

Marilyn and Beth, thanks for all the tlc. I felt lovely and snug under my quilt. I tried SO hard not to breathe my germs on you both, Patrick and Seany! I LOVE your deco ideas Beth and I LOVE the penguin bathroom even more (this giving you an idea how much I had to catch up on...?)

Nutsy's got a bit of a computer problem and is having to keep her online time down to a minimum. She's with us in spirit but she prefers her weather!

WOW Bonnie - I'm lime green with envy! You got a D-Word!!! (D-Words are thngs not to be mentioned in Roland's presence as they make him go grey and faint, coincidentally they're all things I want and they all begin with D. Like diamonds, Disney, dogs...) PLEASE can we have a photo?!

Sorry, I was being British - it should have read German cookies. How are they different? Difficult to say - they're highly spiced, bags of cinnamon and stuff. To tell the truth, I'd rather have the American ones!
