Not much going on here, other than taking care of sick kids and babysitting. I finally got out of the house yesterday to run some errands.

Only 2 more days of babysitting and I get a WEEK OFF!!!
I REALLY need it.

Jeannie, nope, I watched the finale of The Amazing Race last night. Don't forget Survivor's 3 hours tonight!
And, I absolutely LOVE My Best Friend's Wedding!

Lazy day (sort of) here at the ranch. Get to go to dh's office christmas party at 4. Even kids are invited. Should be fun.

I guess I loved my December vacation. It really set me in the right mood. I just was lazy this last weekend and didn't get shopping. No big deal I have until Christmas eve to get four people gifts (and they aren't big gifts either). I think that if I can swing it next year I will go again somewhere.

Nancy, I think I'll take the advice of our Tiffany driver, the next time we go to WDW. He said from Feb to Spring Break is the best time to go... next to Christmas that is. The weather is a tad bit warmer, less likely to rain, and the crowds still aren't bad. Going to have to try that.

Well,there were some DH problems ...Cheetos...then MILs, SILs...hooboy and then Jodie said...Jay got a sexy thigh lamp...Apolo is everywhere...possom sausage...uhh....and then the SPAM...uhhh...some tears..hugs...this is just the past 48 hrs...well...you didn't miss more than the usual.

What'd Jodie say?? I must've missed it.

Elaine, it's nice to know that the Dec. vacation didn't throw a wrench in the works for you. I thought we were doing so well by getting the tree up before we went to WDW. Didn't decorate it and it took almost a full week after we got home to get it done. But I just love going to WDW right after T'giving. It is truly my favorite time!!

G'morning, Kim! I think your Tiffany driver is right about FEb-Mar being a good time to go except that then, you'd miss all the great Christmas stuff. I also like going in May (although it can get pretty hot). School isn't out yet so the crowds aren't bad and that's when they do the Flower and Garden Show---sooooo pretty! Maybe we should try Halloween, like Zurg & family? Looks like it could be a lot of fun in costumes!!!!

Kim....I loved going last Jan/Feb. The weather was perfect, NO corwds at all. We were sometimes the only ones on the bus.....but I know that was an unusual experience.
So....when would you recommend going to DisneyLAND?

DS finished his Tuesday. DD has one today (the one she's dreading) and then she gets to come home tomorrow for 3 weeks! (We'll see if I'm still smiling after that 3 weeks is up)

'Morning everyone Well NOW it feels like Christmas....lovely blanket of white snow over everything finally. And it's the PERFECT snowman building snow. Do you think the neighbours will talk if I go out there and build one? Maybe I should wait til one of the kids gets home first..... Two more clients to see then I'm off til Saturday...yippee! Although I'll probably be at the mall....I know I said I was done shopping but I have the uneasy feeling I've forgotten something. I am NEVER done this early.

I've forgotten who asked, but the Christmas birthday thing is not too bad. I always get two gifts. My only complaint was cards. Until I made a big stink about it years ago I always got one of those awful "for your Christmas birthday" cards. They make 3 versions every year and I guess everyone thought "how cute", because that's all I ever got! LOL I wanted a REAL birthday card, like everyone else....now I get real cards. It pays to complain sometimes.

Final question...can someone explain the whole Apolo thing to me?

Hi all. Hope you're all doing well. I'm sitting here w/ a serious case of the blues & am trying to pull out of it, but it's not working. Tis the season, I suppose. So I'm going to hang out in the ski lodge & totally withdrawl from the rest of the world, if you don't mind.

I'm glad you like the quotes. I updated it again today, so three's fresh material in there. I have the Christmas Story dvd playing now to get in the mood. Oh, starting around noon or so Christmas eve on TBS or TNT they show 24 hours of Christmas Story. They replay it over and over and over. I'll be at FIL/MIL the whole time & don't think they'll let me watch it tho. I'll have to find an extra tv & watch it or take my copy to play over there.

Ok... time to watch the movie and try to work. Um, oh, yeah. Work... guess I oughta do some of that today, shouldn't I?

Marion! Hi! You must have joined the ski lodge while I was off studying. You probably don't remember me, LOL, but I remember you from chat 2 years ago or so, ROTFL. Except I believe you were Marian in chat or something like that since Marion was taken (I can't believe I rember that, LOL! ). Nice to see another Manitoban on the board. There sure is a big blanket of snow out there today! I'm glad there's not too much though. It looks just right about perfect for Christmas time. And go for it... go build a snowman... after all, you'd just be doing your part to help Winnipeg (if you are right in Winnipeg) become Snowman City. It was in the paper again today, and it's for charity too... so really, you'd be helping!

WRRRRRRRR.....Jodie whips up a batch of "don't be blue" smoothies....walks first onto Jennifer's keyboard (ladies first), then onto Jay's keyboard and gives them both frosty mugs and a big {{{hug}}}.....think I'll have one too. Feel better ya'll!!! Jay I was having this conversation with someone else this week....the Lodge is the best escape from reality, cheer ya up no matter what place I have ever known. I don't know if it's a good thing, but I stood my ground and didn't "make nice". But I also said I have made my feelings known and will not be revisiting the subject. (what's that dead horse saying?...something about beating Jennifer in the head with it )

Emily is decked out in a denim skirt, black knee socks, polar fleece snowman sweater and pig tails......now that warms the heart! THink she'll be a hit at the party???

Holy smokes! Do you ever have a good memory! Sorry...I only vaguely remember chatting with you (I'll blame it on a being an 'elder' ) I haven't done more than poke my nose into the chat in the last couple of years...kinda lost the zest after my trip planning fell through.

Congrats on finishing exams! You're in engineering I believe? U of M? My DH has gone back to school...Red River, just started 2nd year CAP program.

I saw the picture in the paper this morning (yes, we're in Winnipeg)...that's what made me think I should get out there and build a snowman! But I think I'll wait til schools over so I don't feel so silly out there on my own...LOL Are you going to make one? You should.....make a student

Jennifer...GOOD FOR YOU!!!! If it's important, take a stand! I know how you feel. For years I have put up with "stuff" from the in laws.....for Bob's sake...didn't want to rock the boat and make him uncomfortable. Well there is something to be said for that I guess, but there comes a time when your own feelings are important too....just as important as anyone else's!!!! It's hard taking that stand!!!! I'm right behind ya and the cheeto shooter is armed and ready ma'am!!!
