Hello, everybody!!

Glad you liked the pix I was able to post last night--yes, Marilyn had a great time at Dis Con! I've been pretty busy trying to ketchup here at work, so I've been lurking all morning. You all are soooo mothy and now you've got Shep and Jason doing it too!!! Holy cow, what's the world coming to??!!! If you don't mind, I'd like to join that front row for their initiation dance--nothin' better than a nekkid man!!!!!

Jodie, I'm a blusher too, so we can blush in harmony when we ever get together.

I've never been what you would call shy, but I AM an introvert. I am never the one to say Hi first and I get so nervous meeting people and around people I don't know very well that I get all tongue-tied. I have even been accused of being a snob because I "ignore" people! Actually, I'm afraid of intruding.......

I am sitting here at work on hold right now so I thought I would check in and say hi to you all. I have only read the last page or so, so I am only going to make comments on all that. I will say I can relate. I am a shy person. Honestly very shy when I meet someone for the first time. I get all tongue tied too and as Beth said, I feel like I am intruding most of the time. I do much better in smaller groups or if I know a few of the people. One of my most comfortable mornings was when I was with Dan, KimRaye & Dec99 since I knew them all before. I was comfortable with many later in the trip but it takes a while for me.

I have to say something funny though, MJ was a lot more quiet in person than I expected. Very sweet, but more quiet all the same. I was afraid I had scared her away

Okay I think I am about to get through so I had better go, but I am so glad that I got to meet so many of you while I was down there

BWAAAHHHAAA!

It sounds like we are all quite a bit alike. I am terribly shy when I first meet people. I am always afraid I will sound stupid (not one word Pam! ). I am also a "listener" in a larger group. I can have a lot of fun just listening to others. (I know, wierd, huh?) I have always envied people who can jump right in with a bunch of strangers and start talking away.

Marilyn...being a "listener" is NOT weird. I have found the "listeners" I have known to be thoughtful, sensitive folks...and very wise from all of that listening. So never think that is weird ok? What makes this such a special group I think is that we have enough similarities to have been drawn to eachother and enough differences to make every day with you ladies and bothers exciting and fun!!! I just cannot wait to meet you all!!! I know nobody can handle talking a Ya Ya meet now, but after the holidays it is time to make a plan!!! Don't worry...I won't let ya'll forget!!!

Shy, me too, but sometimes not ...actually I think I suffer from multiple-personality syndrome...sometimes I'm all talkative and outgoing but mostly I'm just shy and just like to watch the world go by. Weird huh? As Forrest Gump might say, "lilboo's like a box o' chocloates, ya never know who you're gonna get..." I hope that all didn't sound too freaky and scary.. I'm normal I swear!!! Just ask my therapists.

I just wrapped some of Nick's gifts...he and some other guys are driving back up North from Princeton, NJ-maybe a 7 hour drive-through snow, freezing rain... little worried.

Alright yayas....time to decide how mad we are at husband..... he calls at 6:38pm to say he is "meeting" Greg after work. We should go ahead and eat dinner (as if the girls aren't eating already ). When questioned further he will be eating where he is. hmmmmm...... I should also say I happen to know he's been out of the office since late afternoon (IM had been off) NOT that I am accusing him of lying, that's not it....I'm sure their little get together was great and got longer than he expected......

I don't feel particularly mad...but I was forced to ditch dinner and eat garlic bread and cheddar cheese as my dinner. Is this cheeto worthy?

Time for me to join the club. I would say I'm shy in person, but I kinda doubt you'd all believe me. Once I get to know you, I'm ok. Then you get to hear bad jokes all the time & can't skim past them, like you can here. But to just walk up to a group and start talking, well, I'd be the quiet one.

Ain't it the truth!! With the help of my backspace and delete key, I'm actually able to form a coherent sentence (sometimes) without sounding like a complete idiot.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. I hear a lot of talk, but we all feel like we're lumped in w/ the rest of the gender. Get used to this Shep & Jason. You'll get a *lot* of this around here.

We're about to open up the doors to the pantry and fridge. What lies beyond these doors is unspeakable. We must be careful as we go in and find what's here. Oh! Look here! The ever tasty canned tuna. And over here we have leftover pasta w/ meat sauce. Crikey! It's a beauty, isn't it? On the next shelves we see....

When you are in person you might say something dumb & have the other person think--(what the he** are they talking about?.lol) or there is that long silence...no problem with that here because you are not expected to say something witty...
