It's Michele's Birthday, today!! The YaYas have planned a very special surprise for her! It's a YaYa trip!! Bonnie and Jodie said they are friends with a friend of a friend of a third cousin of a travel agent. They asked to arrange all hotel accomodations, airline tickets, etc. They are supposedly getting us a great deal!!
Michele awakes on her Birthday with anticipation. She just knows that her YaYa Sisters and Bother will be doing something special for her big day (she just hopes it's not tickets to the circus!

)
Hmmmmm.......... no mailman ringing her doorbell, no present on the seat of her car, not even a Happy Birthday, Michele written in red lipstick on her bathroom mirror. Michele is sad, the YaYas have forgotten all about her.
Michele heads off for her first day of work at her new job. She is attacked by screaming children as soon as she walks through the door. "Welcome to my life," she thinks sarcastically to herself. She tries to fake a sweet smile at the little monsters ....... I mean, dears and wipes the chocolate bar handprints off her new skirt. The children carry Michele, literally to the office, where they proceed to dump her in her chair. They place a crown on her head, give her a magic wand and a pair of red sequinned shoes. She is instructed to click her heels together and repeat, "There's no friends like YaYas, there's no friends like YaYas." She does this, even as her crown slips over her left eye. (Out of the corner of her right eye, she spies a chubby little tyke trying to lick the chocolate off her skirt, she boxes him on the ear with her magic wand.)
Poof!!!!! What should appear before Michele's wondering eyes but all the YaYas!!! There's Kim, Jennifer, Bonnie, and Jodie! And over there, in the corner are Betty, Pam, Elaine, and Karen. In breezes Jeannie and Sherry and Laurie (Serena)! Crawling out from the custodian's closet with sheepish looks on their faces are Marilyn and Beth. Carol and Nancy peek out from under a desk. (They're a wee bit shy!) Jay darts through the door at the last minute, wearing a Darth Vader costume. He is understandably mad as he was specifically told this was a costume party. Jeannie snickers.
And we are off on our grand adventure! We look for the limo to take us to the airport in style. Jodie and Bonnie stammer nervously........ that part of the plan fell apart....... "What part is still on," the YaYas ask in anger. It appears that not much of the original plan is ago - we have to ride bicycles to the Greyhound Bus Station. Seems Jodie and Bonnie decided to make some pitchers of Smoothies while they were making reservations, and the friend of a friend of a third cousin who's a travel agent, really wasn't a friend.......
We board the bus (staying away from the back seats by the smelly bathroom!). It is only then that Michele learns that we are headed to Vegas, Babeeeee!!!! After 5 long days on the bus, 5 very long days of Jeannie singing the Ski Lodge theme song, we pull into Sin City. We are very excited about staying at Ceasar's Palace. We look at Jodie and Bonnie, they start walking to the seedy side of the strip. Seems we are staying at the Fool's Gold Campground. "Hey, they have those solar showers," say Jodie and Bonnie. Michele starts to cry - this is her birthday trip, after all.
The YaYas sit down and cry with Michele. Then they decide to give Michele the birthday she deserves! The YaYas get jobs dancing in the Showgirl Revue. The show director is so impressed with our caliber of dancing and high kicks (not to mention Beth and Marilyn's lack of undergarments) that we are put up in several suites of Caesar's Palace. Jay has taken a temporary job as one of the Roman Soldiers in the Casino. He is making big $$$$ by posing for photos with old ladies with blue hair.
Michele is very happy with her birthday trip - but there is even more planned for our YaYa Sister! We have arranged for a special evening out! Michele is told to put on a very glamourous red sequinned evening gown. A stretch black limo picks her up at the Palace and takes her to another casino. Michele is escorted to the front row, center section, of the amphitheater. She is confused, what is going on?? The velvet curtains part and Sigfried and Roy are revealed......... along with many white tigers!! On my gosh, it's Michele's favorite animals in the whole wide world! She gets misty eyed!!
But there's more, Sigfried (or was it Roy?) pulls Michele up on stage to be part of the show. Michele gets to put the tigers through their routine. She even gets to cuddle a baby white tiger!
For the grand finale, Roy (or is it Sigfried?) performs a special magic trick. He puts Sigried (or is it Roy?) in a black box and spins the box around and around. Then Roy (or is it Sigried?) opens the box to reveal Michele's hubby, who is so handsome in a black tuxedo. Michele's studly hubby is holding an armful of red roses. With a huge smile on his face, he jauntily strolls over to a stunned Michele. He gently takes the baby white tiger out of her arms and puts it on the floor of the stage. He then drops to one knee and holds Michele's hands. As he gazes adoringly into her eyes, in front of the entire show audience, he tells Michele, "I love you and adore you. Will you do me the honor of renewing our vows?"
Michele, with tears of joy streaming down her face, pulls her hubby up so she can kiss the big lug. "Of course, I will!" she screams. She and her hubby, the YaYas, Sigfried and Roy, and the entire show audience run down the strees of Las Vegas to the Graceland Wedding Chapel. There Elvis performs the Wedding Vow Renewal Service, where Michele insisted the ceremony be held. Because, as she explains it, "I've got one hunka-hunka of burning love for my man!"
Happy Birthday, Michele
