A quick good morning Ya Yas! Storms are about to move thru here so I need to unplug for a while! Nothing like what Ohio saw last night though! Bonnie I am so glad to hear that all of your folks are accounted for...what a relief!!! Gotta run....ewww...lightening! Be back later!!

(Marilyn breezes in the door with Timothy in tow)

Good morning YaYa's. Sorry I wasn't here all weekend. Timothy flew me down to Acapolco for the weekend. Champagne, Eggs Benedict, you now, simple fare. Then we sat by the pool where he ordered more champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. (Timothy whispers in Marilyn's ear and makes Marilyn giggle) Oh, Timothy, we don't want to tell them everything we did! :o ;)

Bonnie and Elaine, I am so sorry about the damage, but glad you are both safe. And Bonnie, so happy they found all of your residents. You did a great job girl. Proud to be your YaYa sister.

Karen....Woo Hoo. Hope you get better each day! That is wonderful news.

Oh, Miss Beth....thanks for making brownies, ice cream and hot fudge when you knew darn well I was spending the weekend with Timothy. But, you are forgiven sis, the ummm, hunky guards you brought back for NJ more than make up for it. (Can I have the blond one??)

And yes Jeannie, that is definately me you described on page 58, with one exception...that is not a Zima in my hand, it is a pint of whiskey.

I go away and you guys get into so much trouble. That's what happens when the elder YaYa is away...you just don't know how to behave without my rational, well behaved influence around.

(And did we HAVE to let catepillar boy back in? Kim didn't hear that did she? Elaine, I'll pay you big bucks to get him mad at you again)

Later YaYa's

Checking in this mornng to see how everyone is doing. Everyone is home and i am going to make a big breakfast. (I waited until the teens got up, Oh remember the days of sleeping in)

Bonnie, thanks for the update. I am glad that all your residents are safe. We still haven't heard much on the news here except for Van Wert. I am going to check the Toledo Blade online later to see how Fostoria fared.

One thing nice about the storm last night was now all the leaves have fallen from our trees in our front yard. Bad News is that it is too wet to move them. We had a lot of lightening, wind, and rain. Never did get the hail though.

Well, got to run and get some laundry done and breakfast made.

I just got these from a friend - apologies if you've seen them before but I love them!

Readers of New York magazine were asked to invent country-song titles.
Here are some entries:

"I Lost My Honey Bunny on a Bad Hare Day"
"Ain't No Trash Been in My Trailer Since the Night I Threw You Out"
"You Want to Get Hitched, but My Heart Is Filled With Whoa"
"Baked My Sweetie a Pie, but He Left With a Tart"
"She Chews Tobacco, But She Won't Choose Me"
"The Peach I Picked in Georgia Didn't Cling to Me for Long"
"Don't Want The Floozy in My Jacuzzi"
"I Found the Recipe for Heartbreak in a Cookbook on Your Shelf"
"Now That We're Miserable, I Hope You're Happy"

Hope all Ya Yas are safe and warm. Any one know how Lynne is? I haven't seen her in ages.

Good morning everyone!

Bonnie....so glad to hear that your residents were found safe!

Sherry...congratualtions! :)

Jeannie.....I got pastry stationery on my note from Carol today! :teeth:
Thanks Carol.......now I'm hungry, but I'm still full of popcorn!!

Elaine.....we don't get to the resort until about noon on the 4th. Will head to MK until after the parade. If that works let me know.
The 5th. We have PS at Prime Time at noon...........will just be wandering around before that.....so that would work too.
Let me know if either of those work.

Good morning. :) Ugh....I'm fighting the blues again this morning. ACK! COFFEE!!! Neeeed more coffee!!

Carol, those are hilarious!!! You know what's REALLY funny? Those song titles are a perfect description of the lives of probably 80% of people living in my "neck of the woods". :teeth:

Good morning Betty! How was breakfast? Mine consisted of 3/4 of an onion bagel I was too lazy to toast, a cup of coffee and my usual...an Excederin.

Marilyn,
And did we HAVE to let catepillar boy back in? Kim didn't hear that did she? Elaine, I'll pay you big bucks to get him mad at you again
I heard that!! ;) ;) I like the caterpillar!! (Okay, not really... but I have to be supportive, since ya'll are such mean YaYas. ;) )

Hey Nancy? Did you know who ever answer your PM? Oh....and no, I didn't get any Yankee stuff. We couldn't find any decent place to shop in the vicinity of the theater, and DH and I were disagreeing a bit as to where to look and what to do next. A few minutes of wandering around lost, and I was no longer in the mood to shop. I think I'm just going to order my Patchouli & Clove online, and head to town tomorrow for my YaYa ornament shopping.

Oh! The movie! It was great! The guys had a lot of fun. There were a few angry people in the line outside that didn't realize the tickets could only be pre purchased online or over the phone. :( The movie was wonderful though....only thing we noticed though, was that a few scenes were cut. Don't know if that's a common practice for IMAX or not. We noticed two...there may have been more, not sure.

Hey there Jeannie! We'll let you do a few things online if you really must, but don't stay away too long...we'd miss you too much! :)

Elaine, I most certainly am!!! In every way. Sweet as can be...yep that's me. :teeth:

Bonnie, YESSSS!!!! You were on my mind so much last night. THANK GOD they've all been accounted for and they're all safe. Wonderful news!!

So....I was wondering. Since so many of us now have the YaYa tag, should we request that Jay be tagged with YaYa bother? :p Actually, maybe we should let them add the 'R'. We don't want the CB thinking he's truly a bother do we? :)

Oh, I think he's a bother ;) :p

Kim....shake those blues my friend!!!! We love you :)

SOOOOOOOoooooooo Excited......I got my plane tickets!!!!!!!! Waaaahhhoooooooo!!!!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

sorry...just had to get that out........

Sorry Kim, you will have to take a vote, because I say he get's tagged as it should be according to the YaYa dictionary...it should be "bother". And don't worry, anyone who knows our dear Jay knows he definately is not a real bother. :D :D

WooHoo Jennifer....to me plane tickets mean it's "real"....(no refund, so we're going:) )

Kim....I hope you feel "un-blue" soon :(
I did get an answer to my PM....but I wasn't impressed. He must be a man of few words....just said "I may come back sometime"....

I think Jay should stay a bother.....everyone who counts will know ;)

Oh, I think he's a bother
GASP! Another mean YaYa!! Have you been taking lessons from Elaine, Jennifer?! ;) Don't listen to her Jay! :p

Kim....shake those blues my friend!!!! We love you
Thanks Jennifer. :) It does help to hear that. I hate mood swings!!!

Doin' the plane ticket boogy with Jennifer!! Yippee!!!

Is anybody else freaking out over their Christmas shopping? I've just gotten started, (not like me) and I CANNOT seem to get in the mood to keep at it. ICK! I know, that once I get started, I won't be able to stop (typical for me) but right now, it's like the last thing on my mind. Now....if I could even just figure out what IS on my mind, maybe I could at least focus on that, but it appears, that virtually NOTHING is these days. Ya know, I'm thinking of having my brain removed. It seems I don't use it anymore anyway. Maybe I could use the empty space for something more productive....now....if I could just THINK long enough to figure out what that "more productive" thing might be. Hrmmm....

Actually...Christmas shopping is going to be easy this year. (sorry Kim)

We have a few family out of work still :( so christmas is all about being together this year and not gifts. Only getting the nieces and nephew one gift this year.

AND.....be jealous girls.....DH picked all the gifts he wants for the girls and TOLD ME LAST NIGHT!!!!!! (his usual m.o. is to say I don't know until CHritsmas week  ) It will take just a couple trip out to get it all I think :)

Oh....and I found out why he was being so generous this weekend....seems he wants a new computer for Christmas!! Which means I don't have to shop for him!!!!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc Just some stocking stuffers and one or two fun things if I see them!!!!

I haven't gone out yet and I still feel like my shopping is done!!

Just joking Jay!!!!:teeth:

Still loving you Kim!!!!!

My Christmas shopping is going surprisingly well. I feel like I'm being lulled into a false sense of security...

Great Jennifer!

Really Kim - that's wondeful. From a safe distance it is anyway!

Uh oh....should've kept my mouth shut about the "bother" tag. Jay's going to kill me. :( Me and my big mouth. :)

Just for the record, Jay....I voted for the 'R'! :teeth:

I just finished reading the 20 pages of Ya Ya that I missed this weekend. Mothy doesn't even come close to what you all were. Megga Mothy sounds more like it. I did notice that Jodie was the first to notice that I had not been on for a while. Of course it was Saturday night around 10:00. Then I saw that Kim noticed second. Well, I now know who loves me. Jodie, Kim, Karen, and Jennifer. (I am joking)

Jodie I loved your ceremony. It brought tears to my eyes just reading about it. I know that you have mentioned your kids ages before but can you tell me them again?

Jeannie, Jodie and I share Robert Redford. I also have admired Brad Pitt, Misha, and Kurt Russell. Just keeping you up to date about the Eye Candy. Actually, I will take any of the above if they are free for an evening.

Kim breakfast was very good. Allison is still sleeping. She loves sleep. She has been up once this morning to pick up some things that I warned her about last night. I told her if I got up and she didn't have them up I would wake her up.

VENT: DH,DS,DD and SO who get something out and then do not put it back up. For some reason they think that the maid will come and pick up after them. I fired that maid long ago. She did not do a good job. Joking about the maid but not the vent. Being someones personal maid is not in my wife, lover, and mom job description.

As far as Christmas shopping goes, I have only done a little. I usually don't start until after Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving. We are meeting Steve, DH, and my SIL and her husband(she was married to my brother who is dead and is now remarried) at a cabin in Gatlinburg over Thanksgiving. Once I get back from that wonderful relaxing long weekend then I will be ready for the yule tide season. So for now I will just sit back and listen to all of you go crazy about Christmas while I dream of a Smokey Mountain Thanksgiving.

Need to get some stuff out of dryer, fold it and then start another load. Will be back soon.

ok Carol...I think I have a lime solution. The book says Lemon juice disolves mineral build up. here's a scrub.... mix salt and lemon juice into a paste (no amounts given) add some flour to make thick if ness. Paint mixture onto the area let stand for several hours or overnight. Use the lemon rind or scrubber to remove and rinse. May take several applications.

Kim, I hope you can shake those blues! {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}

I haven't started Christmas shopping yet. And I pretty much have NO IDEA what to get anyone, except for my kids. I just know I'll be out on C. Eve again this year.

Really Kim - that's wondeful. From a safe distance it is anyway!
Are you referring to "my neighbors"? :p Well, I'm not sure how wonderful it is... Maybe I should've described it as more of a sad and pathetic truth, rather than "funny". :teeth:

Betty You're here!!! I wanted to make sure I got a chance to say...Good Luck tomorrow!!!!!

I know you will make us yaya's proud!!! We're going to miss you mid days though :(

Those kids are really lucky to get you!!!!!

Morning/afternoon everyone! Looks like you all were busy this weekend!! Over 20 pages to read.... Wow!! Lots of material....

Hi Kim. Hi Jennifer.
Kim, um, when you say they cut some scenes from Ep 2, exactly what scenes did they cut? I'm going to see it this Friday!! :teeth: :teeth:

For those of you who are looking to buy Ep2 on VHS or DVD, you may have seen the ad for Toys R Us yesterday. They're selling it for $9.99. :teeth: :teeth: That's for eithre the DVD or VHS, in letterbox or fullscreen. Limit 1 per customer. So guess where I'll be at 10 am tomorrow morning? :teeth: :teeth:

Speaking of song titles.... Here's a question. What do you get when you play a country song backwards?
You get your wife back, your truck back, your house back, your dog back..... :p

Here's one for all you long-time Ya Ya's. Remember my airport story from the old thread? I got to relive it this weekend. And DW saw it too. Sometimes things just happen and you can't divert your eyes. But you would think that at a church function, you'd be safe from something like this. But I guess not.

You know, a few days ago I thougth of the "bother"/"brother" tag thing. LOL! I'm not surprised it has now come up. But now I'm curious to see who wants the R and who doesn't. :p
