Thank you guys. I think I am in shock. I feel like I want to cry, but the tears won't come. I don't know how I will ever go to sleep tonight knowing that some of my residents are unaccounted for.

When I went to get in my car to come home, it was surrounded by debris. I found a child's stuffed animal sitting by my car. The street next to our complex was also hit pretty badly. This breaks my heart.

Oh Bonnie! I'm so sorry to hear of this!! :( I've been away from all news today and hadn't heard of the storms until coming here tonight just a few minutes ago. You have my hugs and prayers my friend.... God Bless you and I'll certainly be praying for your residents tonight.

Bonnie, if you are a drinking woman tonight is the night to have one. I am not kidding. A nice strong drink will help you to relax and maybe fall asleep. The tears will come but I'm sure you ARE in shock...the body's amazing way of helping you to deal with something of this magnitude. Take care of yourself my friend. I am praying....
Thank God you are safe.

Oh Bonnie....I'm so sorry. I just don't know what to say. My thoughts and prayers are with you and all in your life tonight.
SOunds like you made a difference in a lot of lives tonight just by doing your job. And doing it so well. Take care my friend!

Bonnie, I am heading off to bed, but please take care of yourself. If you ever need to talk or cry or anything do call me (if you still have my number). This was a very scary thing for us and we didn't even have quite what you did there so I can only imagine how terrible this all was for you. Again you all are in my prayers and take care of yourself. If I could, I'd get in my car right now and go see you to give you a big big hug. Good night sweetie!

And good night to you all...

Bonnie, I can't believe what has happened. We just talked about Fostoria hospital tonight. I was telling DS girlfriend about how small the hospital was that he was born in. I believe that maternity is on 3rd floor. I am just stunned. We still have friends in Fostoria. I was a 4H leader there bc (before children) I can't even imagine what you have been through tonight. I am sure that you were the calm in the storm. I know that I would want to have you there telling me what to do. My heart is breaking. Everyone up north will be in my prayers.

I think Elaine was just trying to fill my shoes. She seems to have done a pretty good job. I must read those 20 pages or so that I have missed.

Kim, you must learn not to mess with Ohio Buckeys. We can get pretty rowdy.

I must recommend The Santa Clause 2 to all of you. What a wonderful and entertaining movie.

DD and I saw Tuck Everlasting when it came out and it was good also.

I just found out today that Jungle Book 2 is coming out in February. My younger brother loved that movie as a little boy. I called him and told him that I am going to take him and his 3 year old(will be 4 by then) to see. Just remembering him run around singing those songs and then sharing the second with his son is so special to me. Oh a Ya Ya tender moment.

Kim I care! I'm busy lately! I'll stay tonight okay? All is good with Hbear and me now.
Ooooh! I just saw this! :teeth: Ok, I guess I don't have to slink to the basement to slowly fade away to dust anymore. :p I'm glad to hear the two of you have worked out your differences. What a sweet and loving soul you are, to have already forgiven whatshername for all those things she said to you, my dear. :)

Kim, you must learn not to mess with Ohio Buckeys. We can get pretty rowdy.
Me mess with her?! I was the innocent one this time. :)

Bonnie.... Ugh.... I wish I knew what to say to you. :( Hugs, sweetie. I just feel so awful thinking of what you've been through.

I am heading up to the Elder lodge to say my prayers for all my northern Ohio friends and then head to bed.

FYI - DH and I lived (existed) in Fostoria for 5 years. The best thing that came out of our stay there was Christopher. He was born in Fostoria City Hospital. That is the one that Bonnie mentioned had the third floor collapse.

Prayers to all.

Good night!!! Hi Nancy when you get here. One night I am going to set my alarm for 12:49 am so I can play with you!!!

Good morning Carol!!!! Leave us something yummy for breakfast!

Take care everyone!

I'm here.....12:00 will due Jennifer :) I usually ge ton about 9:00, but it takes me awhile to read and catch up.

Bonnie....I'm so sorry to hear about the awful happenings in your area today.
I'm sure you were a rock when it was needed....now you need to let out your emotions too.
I have never experienced a tornado.....so I have no idea (earthquakes are a different matter).
Take care....

Betty....yes, yes it was Chet.....I don't know why my brain thought Chet and typed Clyde!! I think it was popcorn overdose!

Hi Kim......how was the movie?
Did you find your YC?
I see Apolo is back :teeth:

Elaine.....yes anything after about 5:00 on the 4th will be too late. We'll be collapsing. We leave for the airport at 7:30 pm the 3rd!! Red eye.....but I prefer that to losing a day flying.
We will be at MGM on the 5th until after lunch!! Where will you be? I will track you down if only for a few minutes!! :teeth: You're doomed!!
I don't blame you for not doing PI.
The only thing we do there is AC!! DH is addicted to that place!!

Guess no one is up late tonight......so goodnight

And....good morning, Carol

Danish2.jpg

Evenin' Nancy! I'm a popcorn fiend too...I hate dinner and a movie dates bc there's inevitably not enough room for popcorn later.:( Thanks for the reviews...I think I'll skip Tuck but Santa Clause-I'm there!:):)

I didn't know about Carol's dial-up vs. free Sundays...and here I thought she was being aloof.:teeth: From now on I'm going to save all my PMs and do ONE BIG GIANT ENORMOUS UNBELIEVABLE RIDICULOUS PM on Saturday nights so she can peruse at her leisure that morning. Brace yourself Carol!:)

I'm working on other stuff online and pop in and out of the DIS-so if it seems my presence is erratic...well it is, but not meant to be intentionally rude or anything :o :o :o :o just FYI for everyone.

Well, if I don't see ya-G'night and Mornin' Carol!!!!!!! oh just missed her-

Morning Nancy, morning Jeannie, morning all!
I hope you're all safe from the tornadoes - and I hope things are better than you feared Bonnie. Please let us know how things go.
I'm now completely confused about who's not feeling well so I hope you're all feeling much better today. Karen - GREAT news!!
Jennifer (and anyone else) do you know how to get limescale off grouting? Our water's so hard it's practically solid.
Oh Jeannie I'm not aloof! A bit shy yes, but please don't think I'm aloof, even with a smiley! I'm either cooking, eating or asleep (like a true vampire, I come out in your night!) when you're all up. I dream of being online all the time but flat rate is just hideously expensive in Germany. Our telephone package has free national calls on Sundays and our server provides numbers I can dial up to surf for free. Still has problems, gets too busy and I can't get through and crashes easily at peak times but I love it anyway - no clock watching, bliss! Otherwise I download everything, read it, go online again, reply. By which time I've normally missed another 8 posts!
I'm making stationery out of the Danish pastries piccie.
Do you have currant toasted teacakes? I thought they'd make a nice warm and buttery brekkie in all this horrible weather!

Bonnie, I'm so sorry to hear about your residents. My prayers are with you all. {{{hugs}}}
We only got the bad rain, wind, thunder and lightning, but a nearby town had a tornado touchdown. Ripped the roof off a school and did some other damage. I can't believe this happened in Nov. :(
Elaine, I have a surge protector, too, but after having one modem fried by lightning, we always unplug the PC to be on the safe side.
Karen, so glad to hear your stomach is doing better. That is wonderful! :)

Morning all!!! Not a pretty sight going to work this morning. It is a mess outside. Of course no where near as bad as where Bonnie lived but some schools had to be closed due to hail and wind damage :( We look okay here but I'll see when I get home if our roof and all that are okay.

Kim you are by no means innocent at all!!!!

Sherry, I understand about the modem being fried by lightening. If I had stuff that wasn't through a surge protector (and all of our stuff is) we would have worried more. Plus last night was more full of hail and wind than lightening for us.

Well Nancy, I will be having a very late lunch/early dinner at 50s Prime Time Cafe @ 3:30 on the 5th. I should be watching the parade with a few at 2:30. Before that I am free. Also on the 4th I have the entire morning open (nothing planned until 3 pm) if you wanted to meet somewhere. I might be able to drag a good buddy of mine along to MK on the 4th if he doesn't hvae anything else planned if you'd like to meet there. So let me know and I am sure we can work something out even if it is only for a few minutes :)

Well work is definitely calling my name. See you all later!

According to the news this morning, my residents were all located safe and sound, thank God! 6 condos were either leveled or badly damaged along with the 5 apartments that were damaged.

The news is also saying that there were 11 confirmed tornadoes in our area last night with 5 confirmed deaths. An 18 year old man who was in his car, a 70 some year old man when his house fell down, a couple whose mobile home was destroyed (their daughter is in intensive care) and another person in Republic when their house was destroyed. This storm derailed a train and left the cars 150 yards from the tracks!

I think I want to move back to hurricane country, at least with those you have plenty of warning!

I still feel so numb this morning....:(

{{{hugs}}}, Bonnie.

I just remembered....Sat. was my 2 year DISversary! :)

Oh Bonnie I'm so pleased your people are all safe and that your mind's been put at rest.
Sorry to hear about the others though, it's so sad. Germany had a hurricane here a week ago, we don't get many and we were in the least affected area but it was still scarey, I'd hate to experience a tornado. 24 people were killed in Europe, 9 of them in Germany.

Congratulations Sherry!!!

Congrats Sherry...our resident stealth bomber!!!!!

Carol...I'll look up lime scale when I come back from the school shuttle.

Bonnie....good news that all your people are safe. I'm so glad!

Thanks for the rolls Jeannie!!!

Good Morning Everyone!!

Jay..how was your weekend?
