Karen, I am very sensitive about food prep too. Luis thinks I am nuts half the time but if food sits around too long I won't touch it. I admit though, I have a 2 day rule for left overs. If I have something for dinner I will have it the not only the next night but the night after too. After that it is toast! I have certain foods I won't eat while I am traveling or out to eat and the thought of any meat that is not 100% well done just sickens me (obviously others can have it that way) I had food poisoning twice in my life (once really bad and the other not so bad) and I avoid getting it at all costs!!!

Sherry, sounds like a rotten day for you! I hope you are feeling better soon though!

I agree, Betty, those pizzas are just the best around!!! Much better than some places like Pizza Hut too!

Betty he will be Nine in January. I was never able to eat like that. He definitely got his grandads metabolism. Grandad is in his 60s and can eat whatever and how much of whatever he wants without gaining a pound. I just wish he would get his height also. Ry is shorter than most of the kids in his class.

Uh oh Betty. Sorry... looks like Cam is spoken for. Jennifer, I'll have to post a photo other than a baby picture someday, so you can see what your future DSIL looks like.... or have I? I dunno... can't remember.

I know... gross huh Jeannie! In addition to the icky germs that could be crawling around in there.... the stuff smells like the plastic bag it comes in until you rinse it!! I had food poisioning once too...that was enough for me.

Boy do I feel better that Im not the only one who is so picky about food prep etc.... I am ultra careful with eating meat out at a restaurant and most often try to order things that cannot really go "bad" so to speak. Of course after reading that bit in the Readers Digest...I think it was RD.....about food poisioning and what you can get it from it makes me nervous to eat anything out anymore. I have become more conscious of this since Ive had all these problems with my stomach. On a good day it isnt all that great so risking getting any buggies really makes me nervous.

Jeannie, the washing of lettuce at restaurants is exactly why I don't eat raw veggies of any kinds at ANY place that is not my home anymore. Even then I have a problem with eating veggies out. So I never get tomato or lettuce on any sandwhich I eat!

Ladies, the book has been spoken for and will be in the mail before Thanksgiving. Michele was the first to ask for it, so if you want it after her then let her know.

Jennifer is being a bit selfish don't you think? I mean Allison could be breaking Cam in for Paige. Don't want Paige to get a guy who isn't ready yet. Afterall, Allison was the one who broke Paige and Emily in when they went to Camp Nativetxn back in August. Wonder how Cam will look with green hair and tatoos?

DH is talking about getting a digital camera for Christmas. If we get one then I could post a picture of my two. Of course I can't let them know that I would do this or I will lectured about internet safety.

So who has digital cameras here. What kind do you have? Would you recommend it? What should we be looking for? What is the price range? Have no idea what we are getting ourselves into.

Well, we are now going downstairs to watch Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood. DH gave it to me for my birthday and he said that part of the gift was that he would watch it with me. I think I will enjoy it better now since I have read the book and have a better idea of each character's history.

Betty, I have a Canon digital camera that is 1 1/2 years old (it isn't made anymore) but if it still were, I'd recommend it. For $250 or so you can get a nice 2 MP camera with optical zoom (definitely get optical zoom). For a few $$ more you can get an excellent 3-4 MP camera that will have all the features you will ever need and then some. I think a 3 MP is all you need and of course you can have a full range of optical zooms with those. I like my Canon and I have played with Nikon, Kodak, Sony, Olympus and Fuji and all are great cameras in general. I usually don't go for Sony due to their memory sticks (not universal across different brands... compact flash memory is pretty universal) but they do make a great camera. I think $500 will get you an excellent digital camera and $250 will get you a good one Which one you pick is all about which you are most comfortable with using (the options and all)

Betty, we have a Canon c-3000. We really like it. I think there is a newer version out though.
