Boy I can feel some of the love in the air for Ohio State from some of you ;)

Okay I have a huge problem. I have no idea what to get for dinner  :p

Well, I gotta go with the local team. Gators suck, can't stand the Seminoles, so gotta go with Miami. We can still be friends right?

Elaine, don't you mean fix instead of get? That implies going out to eat, don't you think?;)

Going out for dinner is always the best option Elaine!!!!

Kim, I was thinking Cam could Allison's BF. Doesn't he go after older women? She would love to live in CA. She loves the sun. I too love it when a son realizes that mom's are the best. Treasure those golden moments. Chris, age 17, still has a stuffed dog from toddlerhood that he keeps in his room. I believe that it has gone on every vacation or trip that we have gone on. I don't think it made it on the college visit last weekend but have already seen it for the Thanksgiving Trip. I love it when my little boy seems like a little boy again.

Did I tell you all that a boy has been calling Allison? He calls several times during the evening. This may be the first BF for her. Chris is having so much fun with this. Of course he can't figure out what any boy would see in Allison. One of his friends, a senior girl, thinks that this freshman is really nice and asked him to Winter Formal but he told her that he already has someone in mind. Chris couldn't believe it when the girl told him who it was. It is the boy that has been calling Allison. He still hasn't asked her to Winter Formal but he also stops by her locker in the morning before school. I hope he isn't playing my little girl.

Got to get back to the movie. It is almost over.

WELCOME HOME BETTY SKETTI!!!!!! WE MISSED YOU!!!!!

Acck I took a nap and now I cant wake up LOL.

I must be the only person who's dh doesnt watch college football. LOL. He does watch professional football but is really good about missing part or all of it if we have something we need to do.

Uh oh Betty time to break out big Bertha the bat. You know the one the dad holds when the suitor comes to the house to pick up his girl ROFL

UUUggh! This ridiculous money-sucking institution!!!! We're closing in on $60 in fines :(. They'd changed the library electronic renewal system-oh, it's a long story, I hate to bore you w/details, but once there was a grace period for overdue and recalled books, now w/o warning the grace period is practically gone. Overdue bks-.25/day, recalled $2/day(these twerps keep recalling my books!:p:p)-I have at any given time 30+ bks from various libraries scattered all over campus. I had NO IDEA the grace period policy had changed and now gaaak!...ok,--heehee-I'm lazy too. :p

VENT OVER!!!!!:o :o :o :o :o :o

Elaine! I concur with sketti about going out to eat! :p Nick and I- just saw Monsoon Wedding-we're doing Indian tonight. We're so impressionable.:)

Have fun at the movies Nancy...did she decide on Pierce?
(Nancy! I posted on the recipes board...Idon't know if anyone's answered me though.:(:))

Betty, Cameron looooves older women. :teeth: I've taught him well. ;) Ya know, this could be good. I could have his entire first year of dating all lined out for him.... :) He is a doll, if I do say so myself. :p Although, I don't think he's quite figured out how to charm the young ladies yet. A girl in his class (a friend, thankfully) was seated in an area where the sun was hitting her and she was getting quite warm. She complained to Cam, who was seated next to her: "I'm hot". His response? "Don't flatter yourself... you're not that sexy". Smoooth Cam... smooooth.

Cam sounds like a charmer to me-I love acerbic wit on a man.:p:p:p

Wasn't he impressed with a 13-yr.old Russian pianist or something? A man who enjoys an older, cultivated woman, hmmm.....YaYas with daughters, y'all better line up!:):);)

MEN!!!!!! not you Jay. Im so ticked at my dh right now I could spit. He was making dinner....yes he cooks and he there was a food prep issue that kinda gave me the willies. I told him I couldnt eat it if he had preped it that way. His answer was DONT EAT then!!!

I know Im lucky that he makes dinner but if something gives me the willies the least he could have done was taken out another package of it. He knows how touchy I am about my stomach. I was the one that was hungry also. He was making dinner now because both the little guy and I are wanting dinner. I guess I will be making myself a sandwhich for dinner tonight.....sigh.

Hmmm... this is a recurring line around the Ya Ya house.... Sigh... guess I'm destined to be the guy who always hears, "But not you." *sigh* Such is my lot in life. Then again, I guess it's not such a *bad* thing. ;) :teeth:

That's rude of your DH to do that and not think about how you need your food prepared! Just throw your portion at him! Then some cheetos, a fork.... well, you know the drill. ;) :teeth:

It's about to fire up the grill. Tossing some chicken on there in a bit. Marinaded in an A1 marinade. Yummmmm. :teeth:

Ah, what a lovely day. I have been shopping all day, and spent very little money. That's the kind of shopping I like best! Picked out some jewelry for DH to get me for Christmas, he's going to be surprised because in general, I don't like jewelry. And OSU won, so my house is peaceful.

I did buy the yaya sisterhood book. I'll let you all know how it goes.

Betty, button is in the mail to Olga. She should have it by Tuesday.

Well, I'm off, I'm going to go show dh what he might be buying me for Christmas.

Oh, and by the way, my flowers are just now starting to wilt. I have thought of you all every day when I see them. Thank you again. It's nice to have such good friends.

Okay, I have decided on dinner and kind of a combination between the two. I am making a D'Giorno pizza :p

Bonnie, I went shopping today too and didn't spend much money at all. Isn't that always nice? :)

Karen, sorry about the dinner thing... you can always have some of my pizza when I am done.

Well the oven is warmed so I am going to pop the pizza in and take a shower while it is cooking... that's my kind of way to fix dinner :teeth:

YaYa's...Hi!

Sorry, RL has totally taken over my life this weekend (and the past week)

Sorry, don't have time to answer all of your posts......from what I skimmed this morning......

Hope all little munchkin yaya's feel better, and the big YaYa's too. Pam, since you are not feeling well, I will not comment on your "state of mind". ;) Feel better soon sweetie.

Kim, "sitting under the stairs in your little private place, being miss inocent".....naw, no way girl!

Elaine, I will PM you tomorrow with my e-mail address and phone number. Sis has it, but I will give it to you too.

Making speghetti, and am not throwing it around the kitchen ;)

If I do not get back tonite, love all you YaYa's.

Sis, How about IM tomorrow?

LOL! Yes he was Jeannie. :p I have to admit, she was pretty impressive. :)

Karen, We sometimes deal with food prep issues. I am fanatical about food that could possibly in any way, shape or form, have gone bad. If it's been left out more than hour, I don't touch it, if it's been in the fridge more than two or three days, I toss it. Those things don't bother him, so we quite often "butt heads" about it. Many a night, he eats leftovers or something questionable to me for one reason or another and I have a bowl of cereal or a sandwich. He can live as dangerously as he wants but I won't touch it and he knows not to give anything to Cam that I'm not comfortable with. :)

Hi Bonnie! I'll be interested to hear about the book. :)

Hey we made sketty tonight also. Fortunately, for the family I didn't use the smaller red colander. All of the spaghetti made it into our little mouths.

Bonnie, how did the button look with the ribbons.

Elaine, I love DeGiorno pizza. It is one of the best frozen ones around.

Karen, I don't blame you one bit about being picky about food prep. Your stomach is so delicate. I must admit the suggestion about throwing (winging) your proportion at DH is a novel idea. Wonder where that came from? Not from innocent Betty Sketty.

I have the Ya Ya book here and have finished it. Does anyone want me to mail it to them and then you can send it to anyone else who wants to read it.

Marilyn, just wanted to say hi and let you know that if you don't get back tonight that I miss your wisdom.

Kim, if we do let Cameron and Allison or Paige date, then that boy will be spoiled for life. How could he ever date any girls after experiencing Petite Ya Yas?

Well, got to run and finish watching The Santa Clause. Trying to do family things here and make everyone feel warm and fuzzy. Dh just back from helping a neighbor do some computer junk.

Speaking of computers, I asked my husband about your problem Jay and he said that he doesn't know much about it. Sorry he couldn't help. Did you get your problem figured out?

Hello! Popped in for a bit while DH is at a gig and the boys are playing Game Cube! :)
I am feeling worse and worse as the day goes on. UGH!
The baby I watch was sick today too and puked twice while he was here. ICK!!
Gonna go lay down in a bit and watch Jingle All The Way. Love that movie! :teeth:

Jay what I meant is that you would never do what some men do. Now wait that didnt sound right either. Ummmm You would be more caring, understanding etc.... then the Men we are talking about. It was meant as a compliment to you actually LOL. When we say MEN!!! we are normally mad. You dont do anything to make us mad so we single you out and say not you. We wuv our Jay!!!!

That said can I come over for dinner??? Chicken in A1 sounds WONDERFUL!!!!!!

Kim thats EXACTLY how I am!!!! My coworker laughs at me and thinks Im paranoid because we DONT do leftovers in this house for more than one day. If its in the fridge more than a day it goes out. Weve gotten very good at making just enough for dinner LOL. I am ultra careful on how I defrost, prep etc... things. I had food poisoning once and I will NEVER have it again if I can help it.

Dh is forgiven....After we got in a little tiff over it he took out another package of sausage to make for me and the kids.

Okay now Im convinced my eldest has a hollow leg. He is four foot one inch and 55 pounds so a skinny mini. Today he has had. Cereal for breakfast, two PBJ sandwiches for lunch, two helpings of sausage, three helpings of corn, and a helping of mashed potatoes for dinner!!!! Where the heck is he putting all that dinner and can I have the metabolism he has???? ROFL.

Sherry I hope that you feel better tonight. Jingle All The Way is such a funny movie. Glad that I am not the only one watching Christmas movies.

Karen I am glad that DH finally came to his senses. You know Santa and his elves are watching. How old is your eldest? I remember when Chris ate like that and never put on a pound. In fact I remember when I could eat like that and not put on a pound. Oh for the good old days.

Well, got to get going and see the end of the movie.

Oooh! Betty! Passing the book around would be fun!! :bounce:

You're right about Cam becoming spoiled, although I think I better teach him the finer points of ducking cheetos, forks and wash cloths now that I think about it. :teeth:

Awww.. nuts Sherry! No getting sick allowed!! We've had enough of that around here lately. :)

Karen, they tease me at school when I help with hot lunch because I make them wash the bagged/pre shredded lettuce. It's funny to watch... if I'm around, they look to see if I'm watching if they try to get away with not washing it. :p Got to keep'em on their toes around there ya know.... they're all "skeered" of me. :teeth:

HI Betty!!!!

Well, the room is promed...took 2 coats and the can said oderless.....let me tell you.....NOT!!!! so the window is open and Paige is sleeping on the couch tonight. In general our family is chemical sensitive and we have practically none in the house and NOTHING with an odor except essensial oils and a YC or 2 ;)

THis primer is killing me! :(

sherry, dh and daughters are playing game cube....Ed got Mario House party today and there is lots of giggling in the other room.

Marilyn, it's good to see you!!!! Have you fit in any yarn time to your busy schedule?

Kim, Cam is ours!!! Let Betty find her own SIL!!!!!! :)

Bonnie, Karen, Jay, Jeannie.......

Glad about the flowers......
sorry about the fines......
  about the husband.....
and yes please on the chicken!!!!!

Am I caught up now?
