Hi Michele! Yep that was me! We leave here on Christmas Day and will get to the WL (ahhhhh......) that evening. We stay until New Year's day.

Nancy, since you posted right before me, I missed that your DD made it safely. So glad to hear that!

Michele, they riot if they win, they riot if they lose. They've been better recently but last night was terrible. Not only did we beat the "enemy" we also went undefeated and are going to the Fiesta Bowl... this hasn't happened in years!!! So they took the opportunity to be drunk fools (the students mostly that is) and did loads of damage. Cars were ruined!!! It was terrible. People were taking couches out of their home and setting fire to them. They hadn't done this kind of stupidity in years so I was sad to hear about it again.

As for exchanging phone numbers, that would be fine. My e-mail is up for grabs for everyone (helenabear@columbus.rr.com) but I won't be able to check it while I am gone (we don't have remote access ) I'll send you my cell phone though and will have that on me at all times at WDW.

Hello, everybody!!
Well, the balcony is all decorated for Christmas but I refuse to turn the lights on until after Thanksgiving. Got all the laundry done, the grocery shopping done, and my sewing project is also almost done. The advanced adult bell choir from my church did a concert at the local mall here and I even got to that! Quite a productive weekend, here. But I missed my Ya Ya friends......
I just finished reeading all 14 pages you have posted since I last dropped in! Whew!!!

Loved the rhyming war from last night! That was really great!! You girls are so talented to come up with that stuff so fast! Even Jeannie was writing poetry!!

Karen, I hope you manage to avoid the sickies. You have enuff to worry about without adding whatever virus is going around your house. Let me add my nod to the Listerine suggestion--it works for me too.

Have to confess, I was a bit worried about the lime green underwear. The hatties are so much more appropriate for a family environment. We can run the undies up the flagpole at the beach house, but I don't think Mickey would approve!

Ok, I was just going to leave this as a little surprise, but given my track record this week of forgetting things.....that would NOT be a good idea. (Missed a dentist appt and almost missed a b-day party in 1 week ) So....off tomorrow go 2 lime green hats to Kim and Cam. and 1 to Nancy. Off tomorrow go 4 hats to Elaine for her, beth, beanie and even Dan (we'll call him honorary ) Then Tuesday ('cause I ran out of yarn and the shop is closed on Mon. go hats to Michele and Karen. PLEASE tell me I didn't miss anyone!!!!!!

Elaine, that is too bad. What purpose does it serve? NONE!! But we aren't pure in FL either. Dh just told me that there was a riot in the HR Cafe at Universal last night. We had the FL classic which is Bethune Cookman and FL A & M. Poor baby...he didn't have his gas mask and helmet so he couldn't play... LOL

Beth, yes the tooth was loose. I don't know what my problem is, but for some reason, I cannot pull her teeth out...I could mine...go figure.

Jennifer, how are you going to send out the hats? Cuz, I will be out of town until Sunday.Well, I guess it doesnt matter since my IL's will be checking our mail, but if you aren't sending USP let me know.

Thanks Karen...that's what I figured. Elaine is the only one I will be cutting it close with. I'll do priority with all of them. So they should get to you by Monday at the lastest.

Michele, I wish I knew what purpose it served and it is just terrible. The joke here is that with OSU rioting it makes OU's Halloween party (usually results in tons of arrests) look wholesome

Jodie that would be so kewl. We are very flexable during that time because we have absolutely no plans made at all. For once we are winging it. Might go to the parks might just hang at the resort and do stuff around there. We are playing it by ear so we will be easy to meet up with ROFL

I am also VERY thankful for my dear friends that I have here. You all mean a lot to me.

Jennifer the hats are absolutely adorable. You are truly talented. How long did it take to make one? OK, so I am nosey.

It is good to hear that other Ya Ya's peeked. I am really glad that Karen mentioned Christmas presents. Did anyone else here have trouble as a child with waiting for Christmas? I would try to see through the paper and if I couldn't see through then I would try to open the end of the wrapping and peek into the present. Then I would try to tape it back up. I tried to be so sneaky but I am sure that my mom and dad knew what I was doing.

As for the dress shopping and trying on the dresses for the boys in the family. Both dad and brother liked the dress that we fell in love with today. Funny thing is that I wouldn't let her try on a strapless dress because she is only a freshman and she definitely has a figure complete with boobs. I swear that Santa brought them to her around two years ago. They just appeared one day right after Christmas. Anyway, this dress was strapless but looked beautiful on the hanger. She looked good in the other two dresses (actually one is a skirt and blouse) but when she tried on the princess style burgundy velvet strapless dress with just a single strand of crystals going around the top of the dress just about 2 inches from the top, I knew that it was the one. It is cut high enough that there is no cleavage showing. This was the most expensive dress that I let her try on. $180 and I knew that there was no way I was paying that much for a dress. Anyway, I was looking on the rack for another dress, I saw her dress in another size but was marked down to $90. I asked the clerk and she said that they would naturally give me the lower price. Now the dress was well within our budget. Well, the hard part is over. The dance is the Saturday after the Thanksgiving holiday, so if we didn't get a dress this weekend we were out of luck for next weekend because we will be in Gatlinburg and then no time for a dress. I will be taking back one of the dresses tomorrow. Still haven't decided about the black skirt with the blouse. Got such a good price on them and they are one of those clothes that doesn't go out of style.

Oh Elaine, I don't want to hear about OU's halloween party. DS is planning on applying there. I know there is partying at any college but OU has such a reputation.

Well, I never turn down desserts so if there is any left, I would like a brownie and chocolate pie And I made gingersnaps today for anyone interested in some of those.

Talking about picky eaters...DD came home hungry (what else is new).....looked through all the cupboards and freezer and couldn't find anything to eat
It's going to be one of those weeks. You would think I would be used to it by now.
She settled for milk and teddy grahams to hold her until dinner.
