Lets get the party started :dance3:

OK...I will start!

My name is Teri. DH is John and DD is Bri and she is 10. One one and only

This is our forth trip to the Poly and we are staying GV CL. We like CL because DH hates the whole ADR system. He wants to eat when he is hungry so CL seemed to be the right fit for us and it was.

We are from Suburban Chicago, about 10 miles west of downtown.

I have all our other plans and thoughts in my brain but I am insanely busy tonight so I will add to the discussion and planning later but I think a meet in in order!

Also, is everyone on Facebook? I was thinking of starting a FB page so we can all do a live trip report together so our other Poly lover friends can live vicariously through us. :woohoo: At least those of us that have the capabilities through our cells or computers!

Looking forward to hearing everyone's plans!!

Hi!! I'm Krysta and I am traveling with my husband Don & my one & only dd9 Gianna. Gianna is looking forward to meeting Bri!!

This is our fifth stay at the Poly. We are also staying GV CL this trip. I got a 40% off pin code and the only levels available were LV or GVCL & it was cheaper to stay CL so I jumped on it. Don is very excited that CL includes beer :thumbsup2

We are from Long Island, NY about an hour east of NYC.

We do alot of ADR's for our trips, Gianna & I love Disney, my husband loves eating in Disney :rotfl: We are having both breakfast and dinner at Ohana, as well as Princess dining at the Akershus, Garden Grill in Epcot and Donald's breakfast at the Tusker House.

Gianna is also VERY excited about getting to spend an evening at the Neverland Club while Don & I have dinner at the California Grill.

We are also trying out the Behind the Seeds tour in the Land attraction in Epcot. It is one of our favorite atttractions, so we are all excited to get to have a closer look at it.

Hoping for great weather to spend lots of time around the Volcano pool!

I am always on Facebook for personal and work so anything FB related is great for me!!

Joining the party ... :wave2:

Hi, I'm Tracey! I will be travelling with DH Mike, DD Maia (will be 9 by our trip), DD Ran (6), and my sister Shari (Ambriel on the Dis - though mainly a lurker!) & her DH Wayne.

We are from Kincardine, in Ontario, along the shores of Lake Huron.

This will be our 3rd Poly stay, 1st time staying CL. We will be staying TPV thanks to Shari's 40% pin! We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary and DH's birthday while at WDW.

We also have several ADR's ... 'Ohana (dinner & breakfast), Le Cellier, Cali Grill (DH & I for our anniversary dinner), and CRT.

Other plans include MNSSHP on 10/25, a resort day 10/26 and an Illuminations cruise on 10/28. We have evening plans on three nights, so hopefully we can make it to a meet & greet! Maybe something during an afternoon by the pool might work better?

I'm also on FB a lot (but Teri already knew that! ;) )

YAY!!! :) Awesome!!! :woohoo:

I'm Erika, my husband Brendan, our two boys Nicholas and Connor (ages 12 and 10) we will be staying GV CL. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!! :yay: This is our fifth time staying at the Poly, first time was Fiji, then Saoma, then we did Hawaii for our 10th anniversary, then last time was Tokelau in Oct 2008. THREE LONG YEARS of waiting to get back to my favorite resort!!! :cloud9: My husband and both my boys love the Epcot resorts, we've been doing YC and BC a lot lately. Also we have family who belong to the DVC so we do quite a bit of villa stays as well. Most people know our family because back in 2004 we made TV show called Fan's Guide to Walt Disney World. :lovestruc Which sadly doesn't air anymore because the info is all old and out of date. But you can still see it on YouTube. http://youtu.be/NB7zVh7uz7g It's an hour long show so you have to watch it in six parts to see the whole thing. :)

We are on free dining, so with our 6 TS credits we are doing: Chefs de France, Teppen Edo, Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show, and Narcoosees. The other two night we will use our counter service meals. We always have tons of those leftover because we end up eating too much in the lounge. ;)

I do a live trip report for all of our trips, here are a few of those if you want to see pics of what our family looks like: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2685779 once you go to that report you can catch links to our other live reports. I have TONS of pics from our 10th anniversary trip at the Poly CL if you're interested. :flower3:

We are doing MNSSHP on 10/27. I have NO IDEA what our costumes are going to be yet!!! :scared1: Last time we were all pirates. But now that the boys are older they want to be all these weird things like soldiers from Halo and Black Ops. :rotfl: Welcome to the pre-teen years I guess!!! :upsidedow

Sorry this is so long!!! I get excited easily! :thumbsup2

Hey Teri! I want in on this PARTAY!!!!!!!! :cool1:

/
Yay! This is so fun! My name is Lisa, DH is Sean and DD3 is Katherine and she's my only one. One and done, thanks! We're staying at the Poly for the first time GV and we are very excited about it! DH and I stayed at AKL in Dec 2006 for our honeymoon and LOVED it but it's too far away from the action with a 3yo, so we decided to spend a little extra this time and go for a monorail resort. CR was booked up a year in advance and we liked the resort feel of the Poly over the hotel feel of the CR, so that's where we are! We live in the Philly burbs where I was born and raised. DH is from North Jersey, so don't hold it against him. :lmao:

We have several ADRs and I'm scrambling to switch our CP one around now because AirTran bumped our flight back just enough to make it a little unrealistic since we're not doing the party the first night, but until that happens we're doing Crystal Palace, Kona, 1900 PF, Garden Grill for dinner and Akershus and Tusker House for breakfast. We're doing MNSSHP on 10/25 as well!

And yes, I'm on Facebook!

Yeah, what Tracey said! LOL I'm her sister, Shari (Ambriel on here). :thumbsup2

So excited to stay CL (:lovestruc 40% pins!) and so very excited to meet Teri, John and Bri!:banana::banana:

Alright! Joining on too even though I'm arriving at the tail end:) I'll be there 10/29-11/5!

My name is Macey and on Labor Day I'll be turning the big 27! I'll be staying MK view Tahiti with my younger sister (24) and my Mom (I'm sure she would appreciate it if I spared posting her age):rotfl:

What probably makes us most unique as a group is that neither me or my sister have kids or families of our own. That sort of thing has just never really appealed to me much, so yeah...we're not exactly your average WDW target audience. But don't get me wrong, nothing beats Disney and I'm a total nerd about it! I'm a huge kid at heart and feel like I'm home whenever I'm there.

We're also die hard Halloween fans meaning yes, we're among those crazy people that do MNSSHP on the 31st. I'm going this year as a demon, my Mom as a cat, and my sister as some sort of undead swamp thing??? Not really sure what she's got going on with it just yet.

ADRs this trip include- Ohana, Tutto, The Plaza & Kona. We have to cancel our one for the Garden Tea Room though. The more we read into it the more we kinda got like meh.

We'll also be seeing AK for the first time this trip. I guess we may have paid too much attention to the stigma surrounding that park, so this time we're going to check it out. We're also going resort hopping! I can't wait to go see some of the other resorts! To me they're just as interesting as the parks.

Shameful Disney Secrets so you all can laugh at me: I have never ridden space mountain, splash mountain, BTM or really anything with the word mountain after it  Also even though I've been to MK many times as a kid, we never once set foot inside Toontown! Isn't that just the weirdest thing ever? And now it's gone, so I feel kind of dumb about that.

Lastly, we always ALWAYS stop at Casey's. This year we have put a ban on that place. We will not stop there, look at it, pause near it, or travel the park in the same old path we always do. We're gonna spread out and really see everything, Tiki Room included.

I'm giggling to myself because EVERY TIME WE GO we say we are going to break away from all our usual things and try to shake things up a bit. But we fall into those old patterns so fast!!! ;) One example for us is Teppen Edo, we eat there EVERY TIME :rotfl: we try to break away but we can't do it. ;)

We love Casey's too! Here is a pic you'll enjoy of my kids at MNSSHP in 2006 chowing down on Casey's!!!

It's so funny to me how kids always pick their hot dogs out of the buns. :lmao: I must say I enjoy the hot dog by itself as well, though.

I don't think I've ever eaten at Casey's. :confused3 Although I have ridden all of the mountains. :thumbsup2 I'm not a fan of Splash Mountain though. I don't like rides that get you wet just for the sake of being wet and they changed that ride a number of years ago just for that reason. It used to be luck whether you got wet or not but now you get wet every time. Annoying. Especially if you ride it in December! lesson learned.

Just changed my Crystal Palace ADR to La Hacienda de San Angel. Risky move for us because we are NOT fans of San Angel Inn, but I found out not long ago I have Celiac disease and so Mexican food is always a good bet for me (plus it's a fave). I've heard good things about La Hacienda and Epcot is a good place for us the first night, I think, since we can do the monorail and leave quickly if DD gets too tired. We can just walk around the WS and look for characters and do KidCot and such and it'll be a nice relaxing introduction for her on the first night. Has anyone eaten at La Hacienda? Thoughts?

Too funny that there are so many of us with "only" children. In my daughter's entire grade there is only one other only child!!

I always joke that God knew I would only be able to have one child and that's why he sent Gianna to me because she is all one person could handle :rotfl:

Hey Teri! I want in on this PARTAY!!!!!!!! :cool1:

Shari, I would NEVER leave you out!!!! Now that you are here this party has really started party:

I am glad everyone is here! Maybe we will get a few more people to join our party. :cool1:

Wow, I didn't realize so many disers were going to be CL Poly at the end of Oct! :dance3: Does anyone mind if I tag along too?

We are also going to be arriving on the 28th of Oct and staying until I think the 3rd. We had originally booked this trip for a different time of the year and due to some special circumstances had to move it. When we thought about it, there didn't seem to be a better time than halloween.

This will be our trip to the world, but first time staying deluxe and CL! We got lucky that I was able to transfer my pin when we moved our reservation and already knew that club level was not that much more per night!

Plus, after a 20 something hour car ride from Chicago to Orlando with two small kids.. its going to be well deserved. :)

You are driving from Chicago?? Wowza! Good luck my friend! I will look for you on arrival day :thumbsup2 Of course I will be leaving the next day so hopefully we wont miss each other :goodvibes

Where do you live in Chicagoland?

Halloween is a great time to be at WDW. I hope you enjoy Poly CL :wizard:

Hi all!

I'm Beth and am traveling with my parents JoAnne and Walter. We're doing a split stay between AKV's and the Poly. Our trip starts Oct. 22nd but we won't be at the Poly until the 29th. We had originally booked a GV room but upgraded (with a nice AP discount) to GV CL. We have never stayed CL before (our first stay will be the 2 days prior to checking into the Poly at AKV's CL) and we're really looking forward to it.

We have a bunch of ADR's planned as well as the Sunrise Safari on 10/28, haunted carriage ride at Ft. Wilderness on 10/28 and MNSSHP on 10/30.

Sounds like a wonderful trip! Happy Planning :wizard:

Thanks :)

We stayed at the Poly on our first trip to WDW and fell in love with it. We've only been back once since then. My family are DVC members so we rarely stay at non DVC resorts now. This is a special treat for us and we can't wait! It'll be our first time staying CL. I'm not sure what to expect but I'm pretty sure it'll be hard to stay anywhere but CL after this
