thanks Diane

Hi Dianne
We just returned from a visit the last week of April. We had been to WDW only once before and it was in mid-March.
The end of April was much better- better weather and smaller crowds, we wil definately go this time again.
The only thing you have to watch out for are the Grad nights. This is when MK closes early (I think usually a friday but may be other days too) when Florida grads are bussed in and given exclusive use of the parks. We stayed only Monday to Friday so this didnt really effect us too much.
The last week of April is when the shoulder season starts so the Hotel rates are cheaper. You may want to consider last week of April and first week of May.
Another problem with travelling in the shoulder season is that the parks close earlier and some attractions are not open. For example we were really looking forward to Cranium Command and Body wars at Epcot but these attractions are only open in the high season. I do think it was worth missing these as the rest of the park was so uncrowded. Crowds were so low we did not feel it necessary to get to early entry mornings, just used fast pass alot
Im sure you will have a great vacation!:sunny:

Thank you for responding.. It would not matter about closing early
because my daughter is 6 . I am wondering how do they do the fireworks then at the same time the park closes??? later???
So new to this and so much to learn.
THese boards sure do help a lot!
Diane

MK doesn't do fireworks on the evenings it closes at 7:00 for grad nights (though maybe for the grads they do them). It's still too light out. I just got back from a late April trip and there were grad nights over the weekend and I held off on MK until Sunday when there were fireworks and Spectromagic.
