I'm apparently geeking out this week I was watching Star Trek: The Original Series yesterday and am watching the reboot movie tonight.

Drinking Pineapple Juice and pretending that I'm at the Dole stand outside the Tiki Hut.

I have a meeting at 2 pm (in about 45 minutes or so) and then I might see how I feel after that. I so don't want to be here and am not productive.

Plus I need to go pick up DS today; so I'm trying to get work done in very small chunks so that I can drop and go when I need to.

I've been eye-ing Hong Kong. Thinking about squeezing in a trip before DS turns 12 so that we still get 75% fare rates for him.
I was thinking of 2 or 3 nights at the DL Hotel (and doing HK Disneyland) and then spending another 2 or 3 nights in Hong Kong proper. Not sure where...

If I get this job and still have it next year, we're not going to be able to go in December next year (retailers usually don't allow vacation time during the holidays). I mentioned this to my mom today and she said "Well, we can figure it out." So I'm looking at something in early November, so we can try to hit both MNSSHP and MVMCP, but I think we'll likely only hit one. I'd prefer to be there for MNSSHP, but my mom wants to do Christmas-sy stuff with my niece and sister.

We don't have any strawberries in the house. We have some grape juice. I'm going to put a bottle in the fridge when I go downstairs to change my laundry.

Is this 'fresh' grape juice or fermented?

Oooh. Have you seen the reboot before? Much much much better movie than the first Motion Picture (a bit ponderous and windy).

I saw it in the theaters I was a big Heroes fan (Zachary Quinto) and a big Lord of the Rings fan (Karl Urban). I also thought Chris Pine (Kirk) was pretty, as well as John Cho (Sulu), Anton Yelchin (Chekov), and Eric Bana (Nero, the crazy Romulan ham). So, the movie was pretty much constant eye candy for me

You can always opt to do the Christmas-sy stuff with the family in 2012, as you'll be doing Halloween with us in 2013.
