Okay. Thanks. I can honestly say that I don't have any informal nieces then. I don't have any ex-Girl Friends that I know of.![]()
I've never known anyone that I could have said should have been on Jerry Springer thankfully!
Its the same with boys. I'm sure I was spending more money on clothes for DS before he started school.
I don't object to buying uniform...I just don't relish the thought of forking out $$$$$ for them.
And should enquiring minds ask what sort of outfits you prefer??? Or is this one of those...back.away.quickly. moments?
What about books? DS is currently in the PS system in Oz. We pay a fairly nominal school fees; and then there is the building fund, the excursion fund and the book fund. I think we're up for about $65 for books and basic supplies such as a box of Kleenex and a USB stick (per child).
I'm pretty sure the school funds the marker pens, hand sanitizers and wipes from this book fund bucket as well. Although, the school has gone totally electronic white boards as well.
Last year, we got to the last semester and I got a message from the teacher that I needed to go get a couple of exercise books for DS. I was real mad...because the book fund was meant to cover the whole year. This year, we didn't even make it to half year when I got the message that DS needed more pencils.![]()
I don't look forward to the day I'm explaining to DS that on that side his grandpa is not actually his grandpa.

You seem like a real together kind of guy. I guess that's why YOU have the DS.
I'm sure it has helped. I didn't have the drug problem the mom did or does.
I think that gals today go out in their underwear far too often, but that may only be a Long Beach phenomena.
So you are saying girls should wear underwear less often? Is that because they like to wear it so other people can see it?
One interesting thing is here your school blazer at private schools becomes your banner of achievements. When you top something or win something you can get an embroided section under the pocket. So often kids get given an oversize blazer when they start if only for that function. But it can save money too.....given that blazer is $$$$$$
I never got a lettermans jacket. They were fairly expensive though not really compared to my ski jackets. Just not real common at my school when I went. And certainly not free even when I recieved a letter for a sport.
Yeah sort of.I see so you were more saying some people got a big one to last the whole time, some bought two.
