I can just see it now.....pumpkins can breathe easy this Halloween. Watermelons are the new 'orange'. :rotfl:

I too didn't know you were having a garage sale. Did you buy anything BACK??? (I've done that).

I don't know about Chicago, but in Long Beach you sell pretty much whatever you will sell between 8-11AM. Unless you have a TON of ctap like we did, and we got another hour and a half, but that was about over. Fran wants to have one at our house on the 17th. Our tenants are moving out so she wants to do it while the apartment is vacant and we have free reign of the property.

Same over here.

Hope the fireworks were nice.
Bugger about the garage sale. I still have my babysitters club books and my brother his dungeons and dragons etc....alll that kind of stuff...
Have you a book exchange near you? Would they take the box...even for free. If not a couple bucks.
Obviously don't pay to take to them but if you are near one they might have an interest....or they might toss Em...lol...
I mean I have mine quite well stored but they still get that old book smell.

Growing up we would get second hand books from book exchanges But I don't know if people do now or not? There is one near my friends place. One of the main things I got from them was actually comic books. The long narrow strip ones which always cost a lot new.

Anyway I digress...
Been literally dozing at the computer. So tired.
Sadly forgot to get the photos off DBF before he left so I'll have to wait to see those. We got some taken of us together at Jenolan caves so I'm curious about them. We didn't even get around to loading them onto a computer to look at properly.
Anyway...hometime soon...
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Sounds like it was a good visit all round. Waiting for the gory details (well...just the family meeting ones; nothing else....)

Back home. I can't believe we spent just about 12 hours at Disney! We did seven attractions, a parade and fireworks. :faint:

:faint::

Was the fireworks good?

Home from shopping sales. Was worried the thread could of been done before I had a chance to post as LAST.

:hyper: Watcha buy?

Hey ski boy.....have you been ignoring us all or what?

That's a different thread!

Righteo...I'm all caught up.... :faint:
I'll give you a bit of a write up ::yes:: but the details aren't so gory....
Seriously...

Mum picked the location for the lunch - Star City Casino.
It is like a smaller version of Crown Casino in Melbourne. Aussie Casinos are in theory like US ones but a it different.
We went to the buffet which solved the issue of menu selection......which is always fun with my mum...... :headache:
So stressed to the eyeballs (and getting lost enroute) I held on tight as I went into the Casino to meet the Olds. The greetings were done. And we were promptly seated....sort of....mum promptly took off to a different table. But it wasn't full and as a buffet with EVERYTHING self serve (including drinks) there was no issue.
So I gripped DBFs hand as we went off to pick some food while the others were at the table. When we got back they went to get food.
Discussions started on returning and as always the job of BF was the topic of discussion as it is where all his tall tales come from. I got nervous as he increasingly discussed the dangerous part of it....but....

Mum was strangely beaming when DBF got up to get some more food and drink and left me and mum alone......"He's lovely......he doesn't seem so old..."
"He's so easy to talk to..."
It oddly?? makes me more sad now that he's gone
Missing him terribly...nearly broke down this morning.

A couple pics - we played on Segways the only place you really can in Australia -
Sydney Olympic Park. They even take it off turtle mode and let you go at up to 25kph :woohoo:

Dieting wasn't really on the cards....

But being silly WAS -

And a couple of Jenolan Caves photos...not great...DBF has the good ones...

Well...the old girl did surprise you then...

Glad the meet and the visit went well; although you now have to deal with the downslide.

I know....on both counts.... :sad1:

Nice pics of Jenolan caves BTW. And of the two of you.

Thanks.

So I hope you've been surviving in planning for when DH is away. It is an interesting dilemma. I think it will be 'nice' for him to be going on his own. You'll miss each other, but this does allow him to not feel guilty just going with the flow of socialising.
Loved the photos from the festival. The Wattles are indeed all out. But I guess my allergy pills are working!! :rotfl2:

Dana- REALLY hope you get a Bakery job. :woohoo:
Hope Skiboy is feeling better. :yay:
You've certainly had a week of it Alison! Zoinks!
You too usnuz...
:scared1:
I hope you're doing ok.

On the subject of Valium. It has its place. I used it for the first time about a month ago. Absolutely brilliant in alleviating the spasm of muscles in my neck which was spurring on the headache that lasted 4 days.
So yes....it definitely is a pain reliever...
But if you want more than advil it isn't the next stop. Codeine is. :rolleyes1

I sneezed 5 sneezes straight today....about 7 times. I need to get up to 10 in a row before I look at drugs.

My plans are going well. I have one lot of spags bol sauce in the freezer. I've decided that DS and I might be doing take-away a lot.

Just need to clean the house on Thursday so that I don't have to worry about it this weekend.

YAY for Takeaway :)
You do have good takeaway options it seems...

When I don't take drugs I'm swollen and dripping like a tap. Breathing becomes optional.
My box went MIA when we were on holidays once and in the USA Telfast (Allegra) is prescription only  so was $60 a box.....after getting a prescription.
It was a good day when I found me drugs...

Going to roll into bed soon. Neeed sleeeeep...
One can only hope...

Hope you have a good day tomorrow

Sleep well. I'm going to be keeping a very scrappy (almost non-existent) free-time schedule over the next 10 days (even during my non-paid work days). So, I may or may not catch you.

Well it sounds like everyone has returned.

Queenie looks like you had fun enjoying your trip. Pics are great.

Remember Skiingfast said that they lived about a hundred miles from the shopping stores. I am sure that was an adventure.

Dana hope you hear from the bakery.

PIO I wouldnt worry about catching up with the post count. I would worry more about take away.

We were up in Reno, as it was DH birthday. I will post some pics but not at the moment I just woke up to let my friend in the door that I babysit.

Whoops forgot to mention Alison. :rolleyes1 Well was it worth 12 hrs? It sounds like it was a little crowded.
