and I just found out we are going to be audited by the state next week (nothing like notice ) that's the only bad part of being in Special Education.... all the audits... always about the paperwork and not about the kids

You poor thing!!

I understand what you mean about the paperwork. So many times when we've dealt with special ed issues for A.J. I've felt like say, "uh, hello, we're dealing with a person here - not the paperwork!" The paperwork that they put on you teachers is ridiculous!

Well to begin with I was running late this morning. Get to the office to find the whole building without power. Get on the phone to contact the power company. We believe it was out since sometime Saturday. Everything in the refrigerator is is defrosted or melted. What a mess.

Not the way I wanted to start my Monday after a packed weekend that didn't even feel like a weekend.

Definitely not a good start to a work week!
