The Land temp. closed?

In the mousesavers newsletter, it says the land will be closed for a period of time in order to complete the new ride. My question is, does anyone know if the whole building will be closed or only the land ride with the boats?

I thought that it was just the Behind the Seeds tour that was closed? Hope someone knows!

I just read in another post that the Living with the Land ride and the Circle of Life show will remain operational until January 2 and then the entire pavilion will be closing for refurbishment until some time in March.

It's more than a refurbishment! The whole pavilion will be closed starting in early Jan., 2005 and will remain closed for as long as it takes to remodel the entire downstairs area. This will include removing the fountain, the balloons, and the food court. The bathrooms will have to be expanded, and I believe new elevators installed. The Living with the Land ride and Circle of Life film will return, as well as the Garden Grill restaurant. I believe a new counter service restaurant will replace the current Sunshine Season Food Fair.
You probably will not recognize the inside when they're through! All this to make way for the influx of people headed to Soarin'.

I thought that I read that the pavilion will close on 12/5. I'll recheck--hopefully it will be in January instead. It seemed strange to me that they would close it right before the holiday rush.

Duh, I'd gotten my info from the Mousesavers newsletter...said it would be closed 1/2/05 and my brain read it as 12/05. That's good because it would have meant changing my schedule around to get there before it closed if it had of been Dec 5th.

Can't wait to see the new and improved Land in May. Hopefully the food area will be a big improvement. It will seem strange to have the crowds on that side of the park this spring. It will be a nice balance.

anybody have an idea when in march they are projecting it open (even partial opening - of just some of the attractions if not soaring itself?)

hoping to go to Garden grill on our mid march trip and get re-hitched for our anniversary.

I was really bummed about this. We will be there the end of January and were hoping to try out GG for the first time. Of course whe i called to make PS I was told it was going to be closed.
