The Lampy family DCL sailing #6-11/24/07 Eastern trip report

The ship launched and we (for the first time) we on the port canaveral side of the ship, and we missed 5 dolphins breaking water on the other side

Also for the first time I noticed a little "military escort" out of the channel.....

I kept thinking what is this? They going to follow us all the way to S.t Maarteen?

The sailaway was done and I had to head to second fsavorite place on the ship, Diversions!!!!!
I walk in and look at the Bar tender.......OH MY! Myoman!!!!! He was suppesed to be off! He had the look also!!! He was there in 03, 04 and 05 and remebered us well! He said "Miller lite Ron? And Mojito delivered to your table for dinner, right?"

Me and the girls getting drinks......He is the smoothie King!

The first day at Sea Sunday.......

weather was BEAUTIFUL! A bit windy but much warmer than Chicago

At one point my beer blew off the table I was sitting at!

We watched the second NFL (Bears) game at diversions, for all Eastern sailors........the lose satellite signal at half time!
Off to dinner! Formal night.....

Oh ya, my Mojito was waiting!

Kim took pictures of ALL the meals....

Jess went to find Nyoman for another smothie.....

Monday was another day at sea that was even more windy than Sunday, they had deck 10 foreward closed down for most of the day......so it was pretty much a day of lounging around playing so pool games listening to music and getting some sun.....

Then dinner.....I am beginng to see a trend here.........

After dinner there is nothing like a little "Daddy-Daughter bonding".....Alli is the NASCAR Queen!

Then time for me and Mom to head to Rockin' Bar D

I must say, the last 2 sailings there were more interactive things at Rockin Bar D....70's and 80's nights were discontinued, and after whatever skit was going on at night the Bar emptied out fast......we were usually one of the last to leave......They did have complimentary drinks and jello shots for those interacting which is something new.

Great trip report! I love all the pictures.

I am seriously thinking about changing my cabin from a Cat 4 to a the Verandah Navigator after seeing your pictures. Our upcoming 6/08 cruise has now been reduced from 5 people to just my DD9 and I.

So thank you, I'm getting quotes now.

P.S. I thought I was the only one who had a picture taken with a glass of wine in my hand all the time

The next morning was St. Maarteen, we had an early sailing on the Golden eagle catamaran....we had done that on our 03 Eastern and liked it a lot. This time we didn't go to an island due to wind conditions but we did go to a beautiful beach!!!

Aren't they happy to be up early.....Jessica was on 4 hours sleep....
