The Knife (in Crossroads)

I was in Crossroads last night, saw "The Knife"--an "Argentinian steakhouse"--has opened in the old Jungle Jim's*. Looks impressive, they did a lot of work on the building. Prices seemed very reasonable for all you can eat meat (less than half what Ohana or Texas de Brazil get). Still, I'm a little leery...did anyone happen to try this over Easter break?




* Been 4 or 5 years, but still, RIP Jungle Jim's. Loved that place.

Sounds interesting, so I googled it. Very mixed reviews on yelp, tripadvisor and urbanspoon. Sounds possibly like growing pains, but poor quality meats pops up a lot. Still, I won't be there for another 10 months. Think I'll check the reviews a little closer to the date and see if they are improving...

Brasa in Niagara Falls is one of my all-time favorite restaurants, so if I can find something similar in Orlando, I'm there!

I googled it, too. The Orlando restaurant appears to be the fifth in a chain that is otherwise located in the Miami area. So I'd think that they'd have a solid footing before opening a restaurant in an area that's out of their "home" geography.
The one review for this restaurant at urbanspoon was particularly nasty. While I wouldn't let that one review dictate my interest, I think that the wide swing of reviews for the Miami-area restaurants in the chain would lead me to make another choice for dinner. Just my two cents.
