Oh, and from what I read...healthy newborn kittens should weigh between 80 and 140 g. They weigh with 2 at 80g, 3 at 90g and 3 at 100g...so I think with there being 8 of them, they are at a close to normal range. I will keep a close eye on that.

I have to say, I am in love with all of them. My DH has a real uphill battle if he thinks he will be able to talk me out of keeping at leas one. (although, knowing him....he will probably want one or two also, LOL)

OMG, how ADORABLE!!!! Kittens are the cutest things, and just from a quick glance at your pics, I agree they all look healthy and mama looks like she's going to be a good mama. Keep a close eye on their weights with so many of them to make sure they're all getting to eat (but you know that already)

LOL, I am going to have a hard time letting them go even then! I do agree that they should stay with mom for at least 10 weeks. I think they are less fearful when they have had a few extra weeks with mom.

Wendy, they are so ADORABLE! I want a kittennnnnnnn!!!!!! Poor momma cat.. you look at all of those kittens and think she was carrying them all around, holy cow! She must feel relieved! Not to mention those kittens probably were happy to stretch out a bit

Just wait until they are big enough to start showing their personalities and playing with your hubby.. I don't think you will have much trouble convincing him that you need to keep one.... or two.... or three....

I will give them temporary names, but i know that their forever parents may want to decide on new ones. So far, the 2 orange tabbies are Pooh and Tigger....I am sure you can imagine I will stick with a Disney theme, LOL!

They are so cute! Can you imagine how relieved Shenzi felt when you took her in? Do cats worry? I wonder if she was worried about giving her babies a safe place to be born??? A big hug to you PAW....

Oh man! They are soooo cute! I want to come see them and hold them! My babies will be a year old on Aug 3rd. Times flies and kittens turn into crazy cats!!!

Have fun with them and give them a tiny hug and kiss for me!

They're so cute! I can't believe how many kittens were inside Shenzi. Holy cow! Too bad you don't live closer to me, because DH and I would love another black-and-white kitten and it looks like you have at least 1. DH noticed the black-and-white one right away when he looked at your kitten pics

I know that I would want to keep them too. Shenzi was very lucky that she found such a kind family to take care of her and her babies.

There is a place in heaven reserved for you! What a blessing that you came along when you did. Looks like you will have your hands full in a few weeks- eight kittens = eight bouncy packets of trouble. But, what FUN!!!!! It sure will be hard to seem them leave, but remember the joy and love they will be spreading (as well as the joy and relief Mommy cat will be feeling by then! Octuplets, ouch!)
