We just returned from a stay at HRH. We've stayed here before but this trip I noticed many positive changes. It was by far my favorite stay at HRH. There was a thread about The Kitchen a while back where the majority, myself included felt the buffet was not worth it and that the food wasnt up to par for the $ charged. Well we gave it a shot one morning to see if anything had changed.

Adults were $15 and this included all beverages, coffee, tea and juices. The kids were $8.50. I was very impressed with the selections! They had everything one could possibly want. There was an omlette station as well as belgium waffles, pancakes, french toast and breakfast pizza, bisquits and honey and every breakfast meat. Delicious fresh fruit, cereals, bagels, muffins, danish, pastry, cookies, breads for toasting, and oatmeal. It was very busy and all items were fresh and replenished before running low.

Our server was so pleasant and helpful and refilled juices and coffee quickly. I remember last time being charged $3.50 for an OJ and its nice to see it included now. Their juices are all fresh made and I had a pineapple OJ mix that was SO good.

So anyone that was in doubt like we were, I am happy to report it was a home run and we'll do it again! We also had dinner here one evening and I will post on that too. Dinner at The Kitchen was our 2nd best meal of the entire trip!

Thanks for the review!

Glad you had fun. I remember a while back that the HRH was getting all the crummy reviews. Glad they seem to be improving! :)

Thank you for your post! I am so happy to see something positive about HRH, it makes me less skeptical about our upcoming trip!

We had breakfast at The Kitchen on Friday, May 26th. It was a very, very good breakfast.

They had a lot of great selections, and the food was excellent. The juice was great and our server kept our glasses full.

I wish I had known about the pineapple OJ mix though. I would have loved to tried that.

OT- but was it labeled pineapple? Or was it just in a juice pitcher? My son is allergic to pineapple and I wouldnt want to mix up and think he was getting OJ and end up with hives.

:hippie:

We were there that morning also! :) I cant remember our the name of our waitress but she has platnium blonde hair worn up and was in her 50's I would guess. She was terrific.

As far as the juice, it was not the OJ from the pitcher. After she mentioned the different juice choices and we opted for the mix she went in back and got it. I would mention ANY allergy before ordering to be safe.

We were there in May and I heard from an employee at the RPH to check out this place. We went for dinner. Had a great dinner. The kids thought it was pretty cool to have their own buffet. We will go back.

I am glad to read that they have improved it. When we were there last Christmas, we had breakfast there and were completely unimpressed. We thought it was overpriced for a crummy buffet and we still had to pay extra for our drinks. We will definitely try it again this trip.
