Please tell me they still do this! DH and I have never seen it and I really want to. Can you tell me a little more about it? I have ideas, but not sure exactly...I just know something about the Castle and Jiminy Cricket.

Thanks!

I made my sister sit there earlier this year to see the "KISS". Jiminy Cricket Wishes everyone goodnight and they play music and do light displays on the castle. I am glad I did it once, but probably won't sit and wait for it again. :wizard:

I love it. I haven't seen it in a few trips tho. It's fun to wait for it & then be some of the last people out of the Park.

I just wanted to post the words to the Kiss Goodnight. I had copied them down from my CP in the MK. I used to listen/watch it every night!!

Someone here will post the link so you can watch the Kiss Goodnight, not sure where it is.

Most recent visitors looking and waiting for the Kiss have reported that it never happened.

Not sure if they do it anymore. :( :confused3

Mickey does still wave goodbye though from the train station!

We saw it on 10/17. It was the last night of our trip and truly put a tear in my eye. It was the first time we ever caught it and we have been going for over 27 years.

Really? That's great news. Was it the changing of the colors AND the words? How exciting!

we waited for it in April of 2005. then took a slow walk to the contempmthinking w could catch the boat over to wilderness lodge. DOH!... we missed the last boat, had to walk back to MK and then catch a bus. Took us 2 hours to get back to WL all in all.

Supposedly, they do not do this EVERY night, hence why some people wait and don't see it. Luckily, some of us do get to catch it, we've heard it twice!

Is there any way to find out what nights they do it during your stay there? I'd love to take my DMIL to see it in January....it's her first ever trip to disney!!!! (She won't fly - we live in NY- and DH finally decided that she needs to see WDW...along with the fact that DD 22 moved to Orlando in June 2005, and wants both DD & DMIL to see each other !!!!!) We would love to keep her in the park and see this happen...it's beautiful! thanks for sharing and please, if anyone knows how I can find out when they have this, please pm me, or at least post it here on this thread!

thanks again...what a truly magical place it is!

That video was just wonderful! I've never seen that before either. That would be a great way to end our vacation/honeymoon, if we could catch that on our last night there!!

Aaaaawwww...now I KNOW I have to see it!!!! Thank you for the video - brought a tear (or several) to my eyes!!!! I SO hope they do it on the Friday or Saturday night that we are there...what a magical way to end our anniversary or my B'day!!!

Here is a funny story about the Kiss Goodnight. My Mom and I were staying at the GF with a lagoon view. The MK was open late that night and we had already turned in because Mom is an early riser (eye roll). After she was already in bed and I was getting ready for bed, the Kiss Goodnight started. Half asleep, she starts grumping at me to 'Turn the radio off'. I was like, 'Radio? Huh?'
Then I heard the music and looked outside. Sure enough, the Kiss Goodnight was taking place at the MK and we could see it (and hear it!) from out room! I don't think she believed me until she heard Mickey's voice at the end!

I also have a great story about the "Kiss Goodnight". It happened after an E-night, which was from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. I was right in front of the castle for the "Kiss Goodnight". I had lost everyone in my party, and was totally alone. I sat down on a bench after the Kiss, and had my back to the castle. Suddenly, someone put their hands over my eyes, and I heard a high-pitched giggle. When they took their hands away, (are you ready?) it was Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale, Goofy, Donald and Daisy! they had all crept up behind me and one of them had giggled. I was flabbergasted! All of them standing right there in front of me and no one to bother us. Of course, I hugged them all and got autographs, and pictures, and they spent a good five or ten minutes with me, fooling around. Goofy took my bag and wouldn't return it. When they left they went back into the castle. When I my friends came back, I told them all about it and they didn't believe me. It really was one of those most magical moments --and I'll never forget it. By the way, I'm an adult and can you tell that I was thoroughly moved by that event?

Disney Fool, that is a great story. To me there is nothing better than those "Quiet" times in the park. Tohave a visit from the gang...wow

someone please tell me about the kiss goodnight!!! I have heard this right after the fire works but what do you see???

Just go to post #9 on this thread and there's a link to the video of the Kiss Goodbye.

I looked at the vid but my computer must not be that great because I could not see a thing but a castle way off in the distance
