Ok, just sat down and read through it. And the verdict is....


... it's a hit!! The "number of times I laughed out loud" count is already out of single digits and we're only on page 2. I just love the way you describe the things that happen to you. I can just picture it being me in the situation, especially with the small talk stories. There's always that moment when what you just said smacks you in the face and you don't know what to say next. Therefore, I confine my attempts at smalltalk to internet forums and very close friends who don't judge...

Mr. The King aka Dr. Disney aka Hubby seems to have hit on a plan he thinks is fabulous. He would like to drive straight through to Florida from Maryland.


Does he not remember the trip that never ended? The horrible never ending ride down last time? Granted, that wasn't on purpose. Now I will have to load up on the cure again. Slim Jims, chocolate and sunflower seeds that gives you the gas that smells like burning bologna and cigars

What is he thinking? I think I am forgiven for sleeping at least some of the time because this is his idea. Damn it.

Well, we finally settled on a date. July 23rd -30th.


And now Mr. The King just stepped on my newly painted toenails in his haste to reach the calendar I will forgive him because I handed him a pair of scissors in the bathroom and demanded that he cut my hair Poor guy. He has never cut anything but paper before in his life but, I have had it up to here With my ragged edged hair. So he learned pretty quick, cut it and did a good job

So I had my annual. You know, the annual. I dread it every year. Why is it you are never down far enough? You always get the "Scootch down" "Little farther" Etc.



I decided this year I would mix it up a little. I wanted to be the first woman to hear "Whoa! Back up!!! Back the truck up!! Too far"


And I had to fill the sample cup. For the sample. I have issues with this because I always forget about this feet of balance and anatomy and use the potty before I need to ummm. donate. Well, this year I had a huge bottle of Iced tea before I arrived. Just before I headed off to spoil the whole test, I remembered. That's right I was proud. In an urgent kind of way. After squirming in the waiting area, I was called back and handed the large sterile cup. This cup has always been a source of shame for me. My donations were always pitiful, having to ask the nurse "Will this be enough?"

Not this time. My cup over flowth. Whoa Nellie. Holy moly. I carefully screw the top on my filled-to-the-brim cup. And sent it through the special dual doors. (I am secretly afraid that someone of the other side of that door will pull open their side, push open mine and say "Peeky, peeky".)

It occurs to me after I complete the transaction, I should have pored some out. Just to make it easier. For the peeky person on the other side of that specimen door. Oops.


Anyway the whole reason for this update is the new possible plans of adding a surf to our turf. If there is availablity, my parents will sail with us on the Wonder for a 4 day cruise. We have never been on a cruise before and have heard wonderful things about it. I can't believe how wishy washy our plans are. It is exciting. I was just fishing around in the DCL forum. And they do door magnets there So much planning to do. I have to be ready in case it is all Turf and no Surf. I have to be ready in case it is surf and turf.

Enjoying your pre-trippie so far.... so, um, are you doing the cruise before or after the WDW part of your vacation? Because if you're looking at the Aug. 3 cruise, I'll be there! And so will my DFi, who at that point will just barely be my DH. And then you can join our (so far pretty boring) cruise meet thread, and liven it up some.

Hey! Our Cruise would be July 14-17th and than Disney World for 17th-20th. For Now. These plans keep changing.

Change for the washing machine. I washed all the clothes we wore on the cruise, and then I was ready to hit the world with freshly clean clothes.

Not at all. The last day of the cruise was "Sea Day" which meant we were just cruising in the ocean all day. I didn't feel the least bit stressed about it. I was SO happy I did it, come the "turf" part of the trip.
I'm not sure but the cruise you are looking at may have 2 stops at Castaway. It could throw a kink in the chain!

I'll tell ya why.... because they always put the stupid PILLOW at the faaar end of the table. So, unless you happen to be 6'4", there's NO WAY your head can be on the pillow and your... rest of you where they want it!

I think they're just trying to see how far your bum can hang off the edge of the table without you falling off.
