The key to my psychedelic lot plan :)

We should all have such lovely plans with a list of plants.

My problem is I love too many things. This hodgepodge of a yard would make a plan designer dizzy. Oh sure he could come up with a plan, probably take 3/4 of my designs and pitch them. Then once he's gone the urge to stuff here, stuff there and create new stuffing area's would overtake me.

To live among the chaos of your own design's past, present and future can be a challenge, especially if your married to the chaos creator.

I love a yard that is neat, orderly and planned, which your's is. It's just beautiful. I also love the chaos of an unplanned garden with paths that go no where, plants that are stuffed here and there, with no rhyme or reason.

As I head out to the nursery to purchase more chaos to drive my DH nuts. I look at your beautiful plans and wish, I could follow a plan. Alas I have to face the fact that I have a sickness, that only chaos planning can cure.

What a great plan. Beautiful and in color, color color......
Wow, you are soooooo organized too! What program did you use?
I can't wait to see pics. I love it!!

My front yard is prof landscaped, planned and planted and I love it that way too. I have added some plants to make it look less like a bank parking lot and more like a home but I'm happy. I used a program called Pro Landscape 3-D. It shows age progression and age.
My backyard screams unprof chaos, relaxed and full of surprises. I started with a plan and gave up.

Very nice plan of your yard. I like your choices of plants. There was a few I have never heard of. Your yard looks like it will be professionally landscaped when you are finished.

When you are done you could plan my front yard for me.[.size]

I think I need to clarify a bit :)
It isn't my plan... we had a landscape architect do it. After killing many of the wrong plants for years we finally got tired of it and had someone do a plan with the right plants in the right places!!
I do like the fact he used readily available plants that aren't too expensive or exotic. The drawing was done in Autocad, a hugely expensive profesional drafting program.
