Ok, I'm almost too embarrassed to post this, but here goes.

On our last cruise, Dec 02 (wow, three years ago almost!), we were watching the sail away party and this song came on. I had never heard it before, and when DH said to me, "I like this song," I was horrified . Well, back at home I was flipping through radio stations and it came on and I listened to it because it reminded me of the cruise. Next thing I know, I'm ordering the single. Now every few months while I'm waiting for our next cruise, I break out the single and ketchup dance in my car. Any recent cruisers know if they're still playing this one at the party?

I think LAS KETCHUP is the name of the band, spelling is probably off, but something like that...crazy eh..

Well, apparently, the three girls in the group,

"Lola, Lucia and Pilar Munoz are the daughters of Tomate, a renowned traditional flamenco guitarist from Cordoba, Spain."

And their album is called “Hijas Del Tomate” (Daughters of Tomate).

Fascinating.

ketchup song is great. we didnt hear it on the ship last january but we did hear cotton eye joe.

Yes, they had that on our December cruise. The only problem was they were NOT doing the Cotton Eyed Joe & there wasn't enough room to do the original line dance. It was towards the end of the sail away and we were heading up to deck 10 so we danced a bit up there.

This is the official Ketchup song. Big hit here in Canad a couple of years back. An all girl trio sang it....All of the little kids loved it. Hard to get out of your head.
