The joy of a blizzard....

---------also, not starting out with a sheet of ice to deal with (under the snow)!!!!!!!! Yes, they should be able to deal with 'all' snow with the roads being constantly treated!! I lived and drove up north for a few years (hated it) but didn't drive on ice like we deal with down south sometimes.

Humm... I really don't know how to answer this sarcastically or seriously.

Think of it as a Hurricane with snow and cold. :)

We took direct hit from Katrina. You summed it up in a way I can definitely relate to.

Tomorrow the weathermen will be calling it The Blizzard of 2015, while everyone up north will be calling it Tuesday. :rotfl2:

LOL! DH keeps saying it is our annual storm of the century :rotfl2:

Although I'll admit that it is a decent storm so far here in central CT, lots of drifting so it is hard to say but I would guess we're at 14-16" so far and it is still coming down. It is really cold and windy, so it is really light and fluffy - reminds me of the snow I grew up with in Minnesota (the kind that stinks for being a kid - you can't make snowballs or snowmen with it!)

Well to you folks up there in the Northeast that did get the snow, stay safe. Our forecast "Bombed" and well we got maybe an inch. So much for this storm. Forecasters are all blaming the models. :badpc: Happens sometimes they miss.

Was just looking at your totals.

Windham, CT - 30.5"
Hartford, CT - 21.5"
Tolland, CT - 20"

Man, here in Mississippi 1" shuts the whole place down.

Day after the blizzard 8 miles to the west of down town Plymouth MA. did the driveway 3 times yesterday and probably one more time this morning.....total snow received 28 inches with drifts over 48 inches more snow for Friday 3-5 inches and now Monday 6-12 inches.....god I hate this place!!!:crazy2:

Ouch!! :scared1: Can't even begin to imagine dealing with that! Good thing I was born a southerner!! ;)

Stay safe and warm! :goodvibes

Sounds like we aren't too far apart. I'm in Westport and we got about the same. We really gave the snowblower a workout but it's all in pretty good shape now. At least the power didn't go out. I often wonder why we stay up here in this forsaken place called New England. Then I am reminded by a paycheck, lol.

I agree, we tried living in FL for a year and had no extra money to do anything.
:confused3

We have now lived in VT for over 15 yrs. and are able to go down and enjoy Fl every year. :cheer2:
