The Jan 25 - Feb 1 LOOK FOR US thread

OK...I am entering the "I am so excited I am almost sick" phase :upsidedow
My "to do" list is not very fun: laundry, master program homework, my job :rotfl2: , etc etc etc.

The fun stuff is done: daily schedules, ADR's, car rental.

5 more sleeps until we leave!

I feel the same way. I am excited but I am also sick with bronchitis and HOPING TO BE OVER IT BY NEXT THURSDAY. I too have my TO DO LIST HERE AT HOME.....before leaving. So it is a bit stressful now..but NEXT THURSDAY WILL BE HERE BEFORE I KNOW IT. 6 more SLEEPS FOR ME

Oh How funny me and my DD have bronchitis too. Lots of fluids, antibioitcs and rest. WE MUST GET RID OF IT ALL!!!!!

OKAY THIS IS GETTING SCARY. LOL MY DD started with bronchitis a week ago and I got it this week. We are both on antibiotics too.

Ok we leave in the morning.....whooo hoooo....we are over packed and raring to go....even though, ds came home from school on Wed. with a most disgusting case of conjuntivitis aka pink eye...after 2 hrs at express care(what is express about that? dr office hours ended at noon this one day, ugh)
Every nurse that we saw, and then the Dr herself took one look at him and said eeewwww. It was awful...yellow/green pus all swollen and red. The dr even suggested wearing an eye patch at the airport and on the plane so as to not disgust the other travelers, :lmao: .
Luckily the ointment has worked wonders, and the swelling has gone down, no pus and only bright red now. It just looks oozy from the meds. So he will only get a few stares, but noone running the other way!
Sooo if you are at dw and see a 9 yo that looks like he was punched in the face and his eye is rotting out say HI!!! (he isn't contagious anymore...or as he called himself a contamination station)

Have a great trip. I always get nervous when the trip is close......worried about somone getting really sick. I hope we all make it there and back with only DISNEY MAGIC looming over us. :)

8 more days! 8 more days! The weather has warmed up to mid 60's and some 70's but we will wait and see the final verdict 5 days out. Has anyone heard how the crowds are this week? I wonder how they will be the week before we go with so many people from the DIS saying they are going that week? Everyone take your vitamins and wash your hands a whole lot. If I ever get sick which is rare because I am a RN in a pediatric ICU, I take 800mg of Ibuprofen and I feel great. You can also give your kids up to 10mg per kg which is a little more than the dosing on the back of the bottle. Everyone be careful driving. We see kids that have been in car wrecks almost ever day.
I listened to our Disney CD's last night and it got me so excited about the trip. I can't wait to go on Splash Mt. Everyone have a healthy weekend.

My fiance and I will be there January 29th to February 2nd! Staying at the AKL :cool1:

Wahoo!!

We are so disappointed, my husband and I just checked the weather forecast for our upcoming trip (from Thursday 1/25 until Saturday 2/3) and the weather is about to change from the beautiful 75-85 degrees they have been having to the mid-60's and a few days of rain in there. How accurate are they at these advance forecasts? Please offer some hope...I am not greedy, it doesn't have to be 85 every day, but better than their predictions would be okay with me. We haven't been to WDW in over 3 years and are coming from the cold wet North and wanted a nice warm dry vacation. Anyone know if these forecasts change?

I think that they are accurate for next 2-3 days, but really no more then that! Even if you look at different weather sites they all have different forecasts once you get past 3 days out. It does look like it will be in the 60's but again, till we get a few days closer there is no way to tell for your whole week.

We check in on the 25th, and as always this time of year I will be packing shorts AND gloves!! you never know what to expect.

Since it is about 20 degrees where I am right now, even 60 will be a welcome change!

Thanks, maybe it will get better:sad2: Gloves, hadn't thought of that one:headache:

I will try to keep on the bright side, and like you it is in the 20's here too but just this week...we have had a VERY mild winter thus far, so 50-60's has been what we had up to last week. Was kind of hoping to sweat a bit when we got to FLA...

We will also be there the week of jan. 27th through feb.1st. we also are packing shorts and gloves.. staying at allstar sports

I am actually next door..:rotfl: sort of, in Connecticut!

Where are you staying? We are at BWV.

Remember, it is Disney! Will be a great time no matter the weather. We went one year, it was the COLDEST winter ever (or so the CM's kept telling us) however, there was NO ONE in the parks early in the morning and we got to ride with several characters in MK :thumbsup2 so, there are perks to cold weekdays in January!

I checked the weather today, too. And, I admit, I was kinda bummed. Not about the temp, but the rain. Chilly weather isn't bad, and really rain isn't too bad. It's the combo-rain and cold, that has caused us trouble. Last year in Feb we had one day that was cold, with relentless downpours, and lighntening. Lightening was the worst, because they would run practically no rides during lightening, and no characters or animals were out (at AK).

BUT... when I though about it, I recalled that, for every trip I've taken, WDW or otherwise, the 10-day forecast has never been accurate. It always changes-for better or worse. So, there is no point to stress over weather yet.

6 MORE DAYS!! 6 MORE DAYS!! i FOUND OUR 4YO dISNEY PONCHOS FROM OUR FIRST TRIP SINCE IT SAYS IT WILL RAIN ON WED. ON ACCUWEATHER. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THURS. SO I CAN GET THE FINAL WEATHER FORCAST AND START PACKING. ANYONE HEARD ANYTHING NEW ABOUT THE CROWDS FOR OUR WEEK? CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR THE FIRST P&PP REVIEWS. BACK TO WASHING CLOTHES AND WRITING OUT GROCERY LIST FOR STUFF TO BRING WITH US LIKE LYSOL WIPES, PLASTIC BAGS ,IBUPROFEN ETC.

I can't believe we leave on Friday! The time is literally flying by - I can't wait. I don't even care if it's chilly anymore, I've gotten passed my weather blues that I had last week...I'm going to be in WDW this time next week. :yay:

Add Us To The List. We'll Be There Jan27-feb2 Staying At The Boardwalk.

The sun'll come out....tomorrow.....bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow...........I leave for vacation!!!:hourglass Woooo Hooooo !:cool1:
