our Bullwinkles doesn't have a show but they do have a small arcade. Love the pizza and wings and they deliver :)

Yeah there is quite a bit of bias on that side of the boards.

One of the funniest things I've ever seen on the DIS was an argument about Disney wasting money on DCA. People were saying it was aweful, had no good attractions, the food was bad, the list went on. A bunch of people claimed it was terrible and not worthy of Disney.

So one of the people who defended DCA and Disney's reinvestment on it started a new thread. Rank the US parks. So as it turned out DCA was ranked last. Why? Because a whole bunch of people said they couldn't rate it, they hadn't been there before. Who were these people? A big percentage of them were posting in the first thread about how everything is terrible at DCA.

Takes one to know one. Not on the other side of the boards.

So, what your saying is that the people who trashed DCA actually admitted they had never been there???? Therefore they could not rate it?? How do you know they were the same people??? And obviously they had rated it if they said how crappy it was. I'm confused???:confused3

Thanks for sharing. I haven't been to WDW so I can't offer any opinions as to which park I believe is better, however I LOVE DLR and I can't imagine people being disappointed in it:confused3

Oh well, to each his own.

Have you ever read Hydroguys guide to DLR for WDW vets. It basically resets expectations.

You have to figure that they'd be different one is giant and one was built in 1951.

But when people say there is nothing in DLR. They are just having their eyes played tricks on them. DL is packed to the gills with attractions. If you go to the MK it's super easy to see in a day. AK and DHS have almost no attractions compared to DL and Epcot is the only thing missing from DLR.

ours had a show! ohh man i miss bullwinkles.. darn Boomers!! they took over and bought out all family fun centers :daisy:

What I bolded is exactly right. It was the same users, that is how I knew they were the same people. They would say things as specific as the beds in DLH aren't any good. Or the fries in DCA are terrible compared to in WDW. But then in the rating thread a couple months later were saying they rated DCA last because they hadn't been there. Same exact posters.

Oh, please call me Kar!!! Oh, :lmao: Wally World is what I call WAL-MART :lmao:

I've also heard the term Wally World for Walmart and anywhere a Walter lives or hangs out. But if you know of Magic Mountain, it's best applied to it.

Honestly, I have no desire to see WDW. Maybe it's just the thought of the long flight, and I'm not a fan of Florida weather. I just love DL so much, I can't imagine anything better.:goodvibes

Man i am doing one greeting card after another!! my creative streak tonight is just flying outta my head!!

ohh. kodiak just fell down the stairs again.. ..this is soo sad, his legs gave out half way up the stairs and he fell again.. and was crying.

I have to say we have something in common, I really don't have a desire to see WDW either. Not because I have anything against it, I'm just content with DLR:cloud9: On another note - I am NOT a fan of flying. Just the thought of it makes me nervous.

So when I went to town later in the day DS and I had a special lunch at McD's, special since we only go a few times a year. Then we went to a childrens talk at the library, today was a teacher in service day in our school district so the library puts on children things on days like this.

It was a ranger talk on animal tracks. The ranger also brough in some furs to touch and look at the paws. A wolf, lynx and bobcat. Interesting since these are not real common to see. Then the kids made a fieldguide where they drew in foot prints of different animals.

After we went to the town square to see snow sculptures that were built fora contest during the weekend.

Came home and watched a bit of a muppets movie and made burritos for dinner.

Sounds like you had a wonderful day! My boys would have loved the ranger talk. How neat!

I won't try to convince you to go. But if your up for a longer trip and something different it is worthy. Since you can cover all the nessecities of a trip there on a package and be cared for by Disney from Orlando airport when you arrive to Orlando airport when you leave it's a really nice vacation spot. You just wander around the resort for a week and never leave.

For me when it comes down to how I pick one or the other is simply time. If I have a full week I got to WDW if just 2-4 days DLR.

I thought it was pretty cool. I was wondering how this ranger was available for such a thing. The parks are staffed at bare bones during the winter because there are basically no facilities open. It was really a good kid thing too since it was about animals.

I agree with you about their weather as it can be very humid, something SoCal does not ever have to worry about. :headache: I agree the flight is long. :headache:

BUT DisneyWorld is a destination everyone should try to get to at least once!!!! Like I have said (as others have) you cannot compare the two and I don't know why some people do.

But, Chrissie, if you think sometime down the road you 'might' want to go, I would highly recommend it!
