How is everyone's afternoon going? Mine was productive. Did schooling with the boys, laundry:laundy:, called and got my internet bill cut in half:cool1: did my workout and house is cleaned(for now at least, with 3 boys it is a constant chore).

We are having chili for dinner, but for some reason I'm craving a salad with all the fixings!!! Might make the hubby some brownies as he LOVES them!!!!!

Your turn, how was your day and what are you having for dinner tonight?:goodvibes

 dm83!!!

My day was great. Usual errands. Groceries, po, dry cleaners, wally world. DH & I go to the gym in the eve. Its right here in our complex. We love it. He will be home in 30 minutes.
Dinner - baked pork chops, baked potatoes and salad!!! We rarely eat dessert.

Thanks for sharing. I haven't been to WDW so I can't offer any opinions as to which park I believe is better, however I LOVE DLR and I can't imagine people being disappointed in it:confused3

Oh well, to each his own.

I have been to both and you really cannot compare the two. 4 parks to 2 parks, for one … but I absolutely love the 'history' of DL as DL is where it all started. DH & I watched the "Man Beyond The Myth" a few weeks ago on CNBC, it was amazing to watch all the passion Walt had for DL.

I do love WDW and have stayed at many of the resorts (WL is my fav) but again, you just cannot compare the two at all. JMHO.

Hello Momrek6:goodvibes What is wally world? When I hear that I think of the National Lampoons Vacation with the Griswalds?

Wow, I think it is great that you and your husband go to the gym together:thumbsup2 Sounds like a great way to spend time together and motivate one another.

My husband's love for brownies is really killing me here. I say I'm not going to have any, but then the smell, oh the smell........and I have to have just one small bite, but then it leads to a small piece:cloud9:

ITA:thumbsup2 I too just watched that special and loved it! I had to tell my husband, another DLR fan about it and we are going to watch together this time.

How about you, is your hubby a fan of DLR?

Absolutely!! We actually lived on the east coast until 2008. We spent all our vacations traveling to WDW! We even spent our Honeymoon, 30 years ago at WDW, when the only park there was the MAGIC KINGDOM! :lmao:

So when he was offered a big job transfer (in 2008) from the east coast to the west coast … he flew out for the interview and loved everything with the new job … that he drove to the front gates of DL (with all the DL music playing in the background) and called me … I said "where are you, what am I listening to … and he said "if I take this job, we can come to Disneyland ALL OF THE TIME" … I said … "get my suitcase" … :rotfl:

School today was stinkyy!
I stayed up till idek what time this morning doing homework and my history teacher which I did like 10 pages of notes for told me she decided it wasnt due today. I am so frustrated with her! She picks on me. I think shes a nazi in disguise. :rotfl2:

I am super beyond tired so I may take a little nap in a bit. But I do have super tons more homework today to do sooo who knows.

Thanks! I was seeing all these AT&T(my provider) deals( wayyyyy better rates then I had) that were being offered to new customers only. I called them this morning and said I wanted cancel my account and after just a few moments they gave me the rates those “new customer only” rates. I understand they have to sway new business over to them, but what are they going to do to keep their existing customers – loyal customers. I’ve been with them for over 7 years and didn’t think it was right that I was paying double for a service that a new customer was going to get. I forgot to mention that not only was it ½ the rate, but it was double the speed. Anyhow I received great customer service and I am very satisfied.

Your husband is lucky to have you helping him to achieve his weight loss goal! :cheer2:

Hey MISFITS, take a minute and check this thread out!

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2663392&page=1

Yeah there is quite a bit of bias on that side of the boards.

One of the funniest things I've ever seen on the DIS was an argument about Disney wasting money on DCA. People were saying it was aweful, had no good attractions, the food was bad, the list went on. A bunch of people claimed it was terrible and not worthy of Disney.

So one of the people who defended DCA and Disney's reinvestment on it started a new thread. Rank the US parks. So as it turned out DCA was ranked last. Why? Because a whole bunch of people said they couldn't rate it, they hadn't been there before. Who were these people? A big percentage of them were posting in the first thread about how everything is terrible at DCA.

Takes one to know one. Not on the other side of the boards.

Haven't been to WDW but LOVE DLR...it will always be my favorite.

I am finally able to go back to work tomorrow...still not 100% but feeling better than I was on Friday.

Dinner - pizza from Bullwinkles (local pizza parlor).

At least she said the backyard:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

yeah.. at least!! :lmao::rotfl::lmao:

umm yeah, i'd rather bath in my dogs water bowl thanks, at least its not as cold! :rotfl2:

Your turn, how was your day and what are you having for dinner tonight?:goodvibes

So when I went to town later in the day DS and I had a special lunch at McD's, special since we only go a few times a year. Then we went to a childrens talk at the library, today was a teacher in service day in our school district so the library puts on children things on days like this.

It was a ranger talk on animal tracks. The ranger also brough in some furs to touch and look at the paws. A wolf, lynx and bobcat. Interesting since these are not real common to see. Then the kids made a fieldguide where they drew in foot prints of different animals.

After we went to the town square to see snow sculptures that were built fora contest during the weekend.

Came home and watched a bit of a muppets movie and made burritos for dinner.

granted when we where there in 2003 for 10 days we probably spent maybe 1.5 - 2 days at the most at DCA. We loved GRR and Screaming.

We are only going to be spending 6 days in June and probably spending most of it in DL.
