Hi all!

I've noticed a lot of people asking this question, so I thought it might be nice to start a thread specifically for reviews of BOG. Vote in the poll, then post a review. Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner, tell me what you think!

Please no arguing.

I have tried BOG at all meal times and I find that I do like all the meals, but Dinner is my favorite of all of them. I would say the food quality there is very good, but it in my opinion is not the best around the parks. When The Beast enters the room that is a really nice part to the meal. It is definitely worth a try, but if I try and make a reservation now that I have eaten there and it is booked I just move onto my next option.

Define " worth it" !!
Cost, atmosphere? Settig? Food? Something else?
We all have different values so it is important to know yours to answer your question.

I have eaten breakfast and dinner at BOG once and lunch multiple times.

We love lunch the best! The roast beef sandwich and French onion soup keep me coming back.

The atmosphere can't be beat IMO at any meal. I can't get enough of it.

The only downside for me is dessert. I don't like cupcakes.

I had dinner at BOG in Oct 2014 and thought it was worth it. Had a nice meal (with a beer or two!) and met Beast. We sat in the main dining room, but peeked into the other 2 areas on our way out to check out the theming, etc.

Perhaps the food quality has dropped and prices increased since then, but I would recommend going at least once.

The idea is that people with this question will hopefully use this thread and not post a bunch of seperate ones. :)

A quick scan of the topic on the front page of most of the forums here pretty much tells you that hardly anyone even scans the front page before firing off a question....especially regarding BoG. How many times does "what time will they let me into BoG with an X:XX o'clock reservation" get asked on nearly a daily basis?

Thanks for the feedback! More reviews are always welcome.

No- all 3. We did dinner and lunch and neither was worth it. The atmosphere is great, but way overpriced for the food we got. Breakfast is even worse so I'm going with most certainly not worth it without even trying it. We considered giving it another try this trip and scored a great ADR for dinner, but my parents and kids said no- they wanted chef Mickey instead (and my parents do not usually ever want to go to chef Mickey)

We loved our dinner in 2014. Going back this September. Fingers crossed that it's still a wonderful treat.

Worth it? Depends on a lot of factors. Is it worth it to do on multiple trips if you are a frequent visitor probably not. Is it worth doing for the experience if you haven't gone, yes. We have done breakfast a number of times. To walk down Main Street without the "running of the tourists" is enjoyable. If you are looking at strictly food vs. value that might have a different answer depending on your disposable income. Like many things you are paying for the experience.

We did breakfast twice with PPO reservations a couple weeks ago.

It was worth it to us to get into the park early and to get to ride 7DMT before the rope drop crowd got there and PP before it got too busy. That allowed us to save fastpasses for other things later in the day.

We were on the dining plan, so using QS credits was fine. If we had been paying OOP, I'm not sure it would have been worth it.

As for the food, I thought it was easily the worst two meals we had at Disney. First day I got the open faced sandwich. It came out barely warm, poached eggs were hard and bacon cold. Wife and son each had the Feast a la Gaston, and the ate their bacon and potatoes, but didn't care for the sausage at all (maybe just not used to chicken sausage) and the eggs were tasteless. My daughter had the GF french toast sticks which she really liked. And for as much negative reviews as I had seen on the pastry platter, we all thought the pastries were pretty good too. So we all got our fill of food, but I'd have been ticked if I had spent $24 per person and been there for the food.

Second day was mostly the same. I switched my order to the croissant doughnut and everyone else had the same thing. The doughnut was ok, but too sweet for my taste for breakfast. Now, I kind of expected that to be the case so I'm not complaining, it is what I thought it would be. I would have loved to have that as a dessert after dinner. I ate about half of it and filled up on pastries, which was fine. Reviews of the other food was pretty much the same as the first day.

So, it was worth it to us but only because we were primarily using it for the PPO access and because we were on the dining plan. Without those two qualifiers, no way would I do breakfast there again.

We had dinner at BOG last summer. I though the food was really good.

We had dinner at BOG last summer and I mainly expected the food to be average but it exceeded my expectations. Not only was the service wonderful, but the food in my opinion was worth every penny and many days hunting for a reservation. It is a must do, especially for couples. it was one of the most romantic meals I've had on property. It is now my favorite restaurant in Magic Kingdom.

Breakfast and Lunch, YES! Dinner, NO!

I was so disappointed with the Dinner. Felt like they were rushing us out the door to make more room for the next people and we had the 830p seating!

Lunch is still the best deal by far and you can spend until 230p in the restaurant with unlimited drink refills. We enjoy sitting in the Rose Room (music box) during the hottest part of the day enjoying the ambiance of my favorite movie. :lovestruc

Only had dinner there and it wasn't anything to write home about.AT.ALL!!! Breakfast seems way overpriced.

Worth it is very difficult. I mean I loved my time there. I paid a lot for it. However it was my first day in the magic kingdom, with my boyfriend eating breakfast in a castle and I had a cupcake. Was a fab memory! The price wasn't just the food! Look how much we got though! tons of food!

breakfast:
i have not eaten there for breakfast and i never will.
my family is not all that into breakfast and the prices for what you get seem ridiculous!
we also are not interested in PPO ADRs.

lunch:
i've been 5 times and i'm going again in spetember so i think that shows you that i find it worth it.
i like the food options.
the strawberry cream cheese cupcake is my favorite dessert in all of disney world.
i can enjoy the theme without feeling rushed like i do at some TS restaurants.
i like that is a QS credit on the dining plan for a semi TS location experience.

dinner:
have never been for dinner.
i'm sure its well worth it but since i like the lunch options and its a QS credit for lunch i may never go for dinner because i'd rather use my TS credits elsewhere.

For us, yes. We've had dinner twice and both occasions found it delightful. The atmosphere is relaxing and fun, the food was very good, the service was wonderful. I think it's a great place to relax (with a glass of wine) after a busy day. We were there in March and our waiter apologized for what he thought was a long wait for the food. We hadn't even noticed, and we told him so. We were happy to be there with cold drinks and a lovely table by the snowy window. Later the mgr also apologized and gave us 2 fastpasses for that evening! We assured them we were not in the least upset but we very much appreciated the FPs!
