Well, this may not spark the oh wow rumors and news section, but GM has been recently been doing several changes in the car show room. They have been replacing all the lights on the ceiling, having new show scenes, and they have a new tv system. They use to have several small screens forming one big image, but now it is one giant screen. They also have new promotion loops and they have dropped the Christopher Loyd spot. Well just thought you guys might like to know.

Thanks ER!

You know, people always question whether the sponsorship is worth it for the Company and I'll share my experience.

My business has always used Ford trucks. No problems, we like them fine.

My wife has had an Expedition for the past five years but it was time to replace it last week and instead of blindly buying a new Expedition (as I normaly would have done) I decided to give GMC a shot (I had seen the Yukon SUV at Test Track and was impressed).

I test drove, priced and pondered and GMC won and my wife is now driving a Yukon and this wouldn't have happened without the Test Track showroom.

I know this is only one instance but it's real nonetheless!

We were told that May 15th'ish they were opening a new display featuring a whole new automobile concept, car of the future. A GM rep who was over at inovations showing off the On-Star system was telling us about it. The car is basically a "skateboard" drive train that you purchase but can also buy or lease various "bodies" for. It will also be a hydrogen fuel cell car.

The car knwviking is talking about sounds like the experimental fuel cell car that GM has been showing. I saw it at the SF Auto Show last November.

The fuel cell used to provide power is in the base, or skateboard, section of the vehicle. Designers can then have various body versions that can go with it.

This is still experimental stuff, but it seems like the car companies are spending more time and $ lately in going the fuel cell route instead of electric. Time will tell.

Yes it is open finally. It took them a while to open it, but it is here now. It is your "skateboard" fuel cell car you guys are all talking about.

Remove the colors and that is what it looks like.
