I will figure out how to link my posts..... at somepoint....

Hi... I just recently figured out how to do the same thing... Here are some steps:

  1. Post the post you want to post.
  2. After posting you will see in the bottom right corner a number. Click this number and a pop-up should appear. Highlight the link at the top in the yellow bar.
  3. Copy this link
  4. Go to the page you want your links to appear.
  5. Click edit at the bottom right.
  6. Type out what you want the link to read... "Day 2" "Part 3" etc.
  7. Then, highlight what you just typed out.
  8. After it is highlighted, click the paper clip. (This is at the top of the editing bar. ((Make sure you don't click the paper clip with the 'x'))
  9. Paste the link into the space labeled "URL:"
  10. Click 'insert'
  11. Click 'save changes'

Voila!! :) Hope this helps!!!!

13 days to go!

I started thinking about packing and the magical express. I am starting to worry about checking my bags with Magical Express. More because I am worried I either will forget to pack something I need in my carry on OR I am not going to have enough room in my carry on. We try to board last with DD so she spends less time on the plane, and hopefully is ready for a nap when we do board. Since we try to board later I try not bring anything that goes in the overhead. However since there are 4 of us flying we could bring one bag for the overhead and have 2 people board early and then 2 last with DD.

Someone please tell me I am over thinking this.

Trying to figure out what to pack in the carry on, Bathing suits, clothes for dinner, extra outfit for DD and me, sunscreen. Those are the extra things I can think of. The usually items are, formula, bottles, diapers, wipes, laptop (not 100% I am bringing it yet), toys. What else am I missing for the first few hours before my bags arrive, this is stressing me out, almost to the point where I am considering not using the ME bag service....

ETA: can't forget MAGIC BANDS!!!

I've never taken the ME before - CAN you take the ME bus but keep your luggage with you?

Yes you can, but my husband and I like the idea of not having to pick it up and drag it with us, with a 10 month old, and the stroller and his parents... We like that they will deliver it so i would really like to utilize the service, if i can talk my self off this ledge.

VERY IMPORTANT to remember that your formula is in its POWDER form!!!!!!! The TSA WILL NOT ALLOW liquid formula through the checkpoint. Stupid I know but it is what it is.

That's not true (at least at Newark and FLL) we have flown with DD twice already and I've brought liquid both times about 4 or 5 of the 8 ounce bottles. Plus a full bottle of children's Tylenol. Formula, expressed breast milk and medication (at least for children) are the exception the the rule.

ETA: At one point this may have been true, it just isn't true anymore.

Hey, joining in.

Not sure why you are so stressing about ME. We've used it 10 times and never had a problem. Disney is a lot less likely to lose your luggage than the airlines. Just make sure to have your yellow tag on their - but more important, make sure to have your NAME and PHONE NUMBER on your bag. As long as you have that, it will make it's way to you.

The only other thing I would say is that going with a 10-month old plus a large contingent of extended family you definitely need to take a somewhat laid back attitude to park touring. How I would advise it though is be careful not to fall into the trap of "what do you want to do? I don't know what do YOU want to do?" and instead take the lead, but bring an attitude of "This is what DH and I are doing, if you want join us you can, if you want to meet up with us later that's fine too!" Also, take advantage of the grandparents being there, and take some time for yourself if you can - especially like an evening walking around world showcase without having to worry about the baby.

Remember, it's about having fun!!

I think I'm most worried about forgetting to pack something I'll need right away in my carry on. I'm not so worried about my luggage getting there, as long as it's there after dinner I'll be happy that's 6+hours so should be good.

I totally agree about having fun and we have considered having an adult evening at jelly rolls for an hour or two while the garndparents or aunt watch DD but we will see. It's such a short trip in not sure where I would fit it in!

Best thing to do with that carryon is make a list of all the things you need and then double check they're packed.

While your packing stuff - make sure to pack medicine like children's tylenol/ibuprofen AND a way to get it in her. When our DD was <2 she spiked a fever just after we took off from Phoenix to Buffalo. A lady in the seat behind us recommended getting tylenol into her right away. We actually had the medicine but no dispenser and so we couldn't get it in her. The only way to get a syringe out of the medicine kit on the plane was to call to the ground. It was a friggin' mess, all for the lack of a dispenser.

May 4th – Animal Kingdom? Pool? Epcot and Akershus Princess Dinner!

I am leaving the morning plans open for now. I have been ALL over with these plans, first it was HS, and then I changed to AK now I am thinking may just hang out by the pool in the morning. I have no reservations at AK and no FP+ so I am going to see how the first day goes and play the morning by ear. If everything goes as planned we will go to AK around 9am for RD, the Safari, EE and seeing some animals. I have never been to AK before so I am excited to check out this park. However if we aren’t feeling it we may just stick around the resort and relax by the pool which would also be amazing.

We have FP for Sorian from 3:30-4:30. I have living with the land and Nemo between 3-5 so I hope to do those why everyone else does Sorian. I hope we can make it in time for everyone to ride Soarin before our 5:15 Akershus reservation. I am really excited for this meal, I know DD probably won’t remember it but I am really excited to go to a princess meal, kid at heart here!

DD falls asleep in the stroller pretty well so I am hoping after dinner she falls asleep and we can walk around WS a little bit. My husband surprised me the other day by saying walking around and just taking everything in is half the fun, so that made me really happy and even more excited for this trip. Really hoping we get that in either this day or the next day.

I LOVED Akershus! I was surprised I talked my boyfriend into last year (Okay, it was more of a... "We are doing this. And by the way, its a meal with the princesses). But he actually REALLY enjoyed it too! He even asked if we were going back this year!

And your daughter is such a cutie!!

Thank you! I know I keep saying Akershus is for my daughter but it's for me too! Or mostly me!!!

I have a feeling the boys will like it too even if they don't admit it!

Oh yeah, totally makes sense to give your bags to the ME if you can manage it...it just means being extra organized which can be a challenge especially with little ones. Ahhh the days of having to bring strollers and diaper bags and all the things you need for travelling with a baby....sigh. I'm sure I'm forgetting a lot of what it's like too now that my kids are 9 and 12 ...now there's just a whole lotta drama but way less stuff to bring lol. I'm sure you will sort out the luggage thing.

Make sure you get the brown goat cheese (gjetost) from the salad bar at Akershus. If you've never had it, you're in for a treat. It's almost like eating caramel.

Huh. Looks like EWR was good for something after all! :p

Drama or diapers.... I may take the diapers I know as the mother of a girl the tween and teen year are supposed to be he hardest... I wasn't a fun teen so I am sure I'm in for some payback... I started laying out items so hopefully this helps, I'm always throwing in things at the last minute!

Yum! Can't wait to try it, I love trying everything and love suggestions!

:rotfl2:Might be the only thing ever!! I hate flying out of there to bad it's now 15min from me :rolleyes1

10 days???

So originally I wasn't going to update today, I was waiting till tomorrow when my arrival day is in the 10 day outlook on weather.com (to me this means it's really happening!!!). However I got this email a little while ago:

image.jpg

(Yes I really have 3700 unread emails don't judge it was over 30000 but I finally took my old email off my iPhone, this only shows work email and 1 gmail account that I actually use!)

Now If Disney is telling me 10 days I'm going with it! So here is my 10 days to go party!! party:
I started laying out what I'm going to pack. Two sections carry on and suitcase, I'm hoping to get a swim in on arrival day so bathing suits and a change of clothes are with carry on already! I'm going to order (hopefully tonight) some items from Amazon to be sent to my Dad that he will bring to us.

Thanks everyone for following along! Have a great day!

Newark is also our airport of choice, also mainly for the convenience.

Just remember to pack your sunscreen in your luggage and not the carry on. My mom messed that up once and was not happy to have her sunscreen confiscated.
