The script and animation were outstanding.....can't wait to own this one...

I didn't like it and thought it was too looooooong. My kids ages 7 and 5 couldn't sit still towards then end and are usually very good.

Put me in the "loved it" camp. Thought it was very funny for kids and adults alike. Gets two thumbs up from me!

We saw it this afternoon and thought it is terrific! The audience erupted with applause at the end.

I read it brought in 70.1 million dollars this weekend...

We had 17 in our group ages 3 to 40 we all loved it.

DH, DSs 7 and 9, and I loved it.

We are looking forward to seeing this movie next weekend!! :)

We LOVED it!!!! I am not a movie clapper, and even I clapped at the end. I'm going to see it again next weekend.

The preview for Cars was underwhelming. What is it even about?

Just one note...we waited through all the credits hoping for some extra outtake or small scene or something like most Pixar movies seem to have....nothing. You could tell who the diehards were because when the lights came up we were all surprised that there wasn't anything during/after the credits.
Other than that, a GREAT movie. Just don't worry about missing anything if you leave right away.

LOVED it!!! me and my best friend (both 14) were in a theater full of seven year olds and there parents...we felt like such kids!!! but it was great!! i loved it. i love every disney/pixar movie...except a bug's life. never really liked that one...

was anyone else disappointed in the little short before the movie?? i usually really like them, but i didn't like this one. 'the birds' is still the best one!!!! :teeth:

We just saw this a little bit ago and I agree that it was just sooooo long. Not great. We (me, DH, DS11, DD9, &dd5) were all a little dissapointed in it. Thought it was too long and just ok.

And yes, that short at the beginning was horrible.

DW Lauri and I saw this on Friday afternoon and we loved it! Definitely IMO one of the best Pixar has done.

I'll go so far to say that it's one of the best superhero movies ever -- up there with the Spider-Man movies, the second X-Men, and the first Tim Burton Batman movie. It had a great story with outstanding characters and fantastic visuals, especially on the island, and I loved the retrofuturistic feel it had.

The opening short was pretty good but "For the Birds" is still the best. :teeth:

Did anyone else see the Star Wars Episode 3 trailer? This is the one everyone has been waiting for -- the fall of the Republic, the rise of the Empire, and Anakin becoming Darth Vader.

I thought that it was WAY too violent for its target audience. My son and his cousin both wanted to leave. :(

We - Dh, DD 4 1/2 and myself - saw it this afternoon and really liked it. I was surprised at some of the scenes, a bit intense in areas, especially the skeleton in the cave, DD closed her eyes on that one. All in all, though we really liked it.

As for "Boundin'" we thought it was HILARIOUS!!!! Something about those step-dancing animals had us rolling in our seats. To each their own I guess!

I went out for popcorn and overheard some guys talking about it. They even asked the manager where they could see the trailer. It was supposedly being played before The Incredibles but we didn't see it before our showing.
Those guys were so funny, they were like little kids going to see santa!!;)

It's rated PG, I would say the target audience is different from other Pixar / Disney movies. I like the movie but don't think it's made for the under 6 crowd the previous films have been great for that age group.

Just got back from the movie. I had two big disappointments.

1) It ended with a sort of cliff hanger making me want to stay around for the sequel.

2) I waited until the end for the little teaser they usually put at the end of the titles, and it wasn't there. (I think Shrek 2 has one of the best with the Mutant Donkeys).

The missing teaser was mentioned before, but it was a let down.

The Star wars3 trailer was great, but it was nothing more than I expected; the movie will be awsome!!!!!

Speaking of Shrek2, the trailer for Thunderbirds on the DVD says it will be out this December... That is another movie I liked, and it is VERY KID FRIENDLY! It tried to keep the same plot as the original TV series... I digress

We loved The Incredibles !!!!!

:bounce:

<font color=navy>Saw the Incredibles with my ds-16, dd-15, and her friend-15. I thought it was okay -- I enjoyed it. The kids loved it. We laughed a lot through it.

We liked Boundin also. My ds got a fit of the giggles over the jackalope, and he was laughing so hard he had other people laughing with him. That little lamb dancing away had me laughing. I still like the bird one the best, but for me, this came a close second.

We saw it Friday, DH, I & DS (5). We all loved it.
I was surprised how long it was but it kept even my 5 yr old's interest.

I am so disappointed though, we didn't see the Star Wrs trailer at ours!!!!!!!!
We can not wait until that comes out on the big screen.
