I know alot of you just finished 8th grade, and the thought of highschool is scary, so I wanted to make a thread for all of you to vent, ask questions, ect about high school to make yourself feel more at ease. Then, the ones who are in high school (or who have graduated ;)) can answer them for you. I think this will really help.:goodvibes

Discuss!!

Emily. Thank you!
I don't have any concerns yet, though. Most of my questions have been answered at orentation, PTA meetings, and just chatting with my freshman 'penpal' so to speak.
To everyone else, congratulations!

YAY! I'm not really scared to go to highschool...I'm excited but I kinda don't want too. I can't really think of any questions right now, but I'm glad you made this thread. :)

Well, I'm moving to a new school and I'm not really nervous about high schoolers, because my old school was a middle/high school. I am nervous about making new friends. I had so many at my old school, and I am scared that it is all going to change at this new school, and that I'm not going to make any new friends.

Usually, there are so many people at school that its hard to not make any.

But, I go to school with 2,500 other people.

i like this thred:thumbsup2

:scared: im nervous about not having lunch with friends...anyone else have this dilemna or suggestions on how to deal w. it??

I go to a humongously crowded school as well. Last year there were around 500 freshman,400 or so sophmores, about 350 juniors, and about 250 seniors. So we had around 2500 students or so. I'll be a junior and am uber excited. Any freshmeat( JK) have questions feel free to ask.

My school has......
1300+ students....
Wow, the website was vague... sorry lol.

Good thread, I like it.
If I survived my freshman year [which I did] anyone can do it! :thumbsup2

I'm sorry, but thats 1500.

Just don't think you are so tough and respect the upperclassmen. A couple of kids in my grade almost got beat up because of it. Just act like yourself.

respect upperclassmen??

how do i know if they deserve my respect...i mean, just cuz theyre older doesnt mean i have to respect them

if they earn it, ill give it...but it takes more than being older than me to earn my respect

And we don't like it when some freshman punk acts like their hot stuff.

i go to a very large hs, almost 3,000 kids. there is 1,200 just in my soon to be sophmore class. be ready for a lot of people to be picking on you just because you're freshmen. throughout the year it will get better.

this whole: seniors are royalty, freshmen are losers thing is so teen drama movie

i used to worry about it, but my bro was a freshman last year and he had no problem...everybody judged him as a person, not as a class

:confused3 maybe its just different in my school, but none of that respect your elders thing is cool

high school is NOT as bad as some people make it sound. just don't sweat it and take it seriously, this is when it counts the most.
