The in-laws want to come!

Glad it sounds as if all is worked out! My in laws are divorced and husband's stepmother always claims to treat all the grandchildren the same, but it's all about the two who are "real" (not mine). Hopefully you'll have a wonderful trip with just enough time alone and together with your inlaws!

Glad to hear the situation worked out alright. Many times, these things don't go so well and you end up with bad blood and someone holding a grudge. It sounds like you do have great inlaws who are at least willing o compromise. Have a great trip.

1) Well now they know, so you're stuck. Let them come on this trip & PAY FOR EVERYTHING like they did last time. Enjoy it. Thank goodness you all get along so well.

2) Book another trip (with the $$ you'll now be saving from this upcoming trip with them) and DO NOT TELL THEM ABOUT IT UNTIL THE DAY BEFORE.

I so envy you that you have parents-in-laws that can and are willing to travel and want to be with you both and the children. We have asked many times to get the grandparents together with the kids on a special trip, but have never had the opportunity.

My parents were very active and when able would go to any lengths to be with us and the kids. At 88 my mom went on her first trip outside of the US and on a cruise. My sister's family joined us and she had 4 grandchildren to enjoy. We had a blast! We love the big gatherings at WDW and DL.

We do enjoy our private trips together, but have found that with extended family it just seems to amplify the fun tenfold. We find it easy to accommodate everyone's fun, splitting up to enjoy different things and meeting for dinner or the evening's entertainment.

We're hoping that Mom will be up to joining us again this year. We asked DH's family, but to no avail. Usually when we decide to go we send out the emails telling everyone to join us if they can. Now that is a day I look forward too!

I know you'll have fun, no matter what size group! Just going there is a blast!
