Can I vent about PK for a moment? She's having boyfriend trouble at the moment. She knows, under no circumstances, is she to be on her cell phone while in school. The principal has made it clear that they can and will be failed because they have no way of knowing if they're cheating or not and it's just not appropriate. And it's rude IMHO. Twice I've seen her on FB today and twice I told her to get off the phone. Well, I've decided I'm not going to punish her and take her phone away. I'm going to let event unfold as they are meant to. And when she gets caught, and I'm sure she will, she's going to have to take the fall for it. And if it keeps her from moving into the honors programs next year so be it. I've babied that child for far too long. Now she needs to deal with life's consequences. Thank you.

PK sorry to hear about the princess. Sometimes lessons can only be learned the hard way. I can tell you this from experience; kids reach an age where they think their parents are the stupidest humans on the planet. You just can't tell them; they know it all so much better.

There have been moments where my husband and I have slunk into another room to snicker in private when an I Told You just won't work.
