The Iced Coffee Chronicles

Here's the big question: How many of those locations, if any, are covered on the Dining Plan? I don't remember if they are priced under $4 to begin with. I remembered that some of the kiosks had a sign up saying that the DDP was not accepted at that location. I was wondering if that has spread to all of the coffee places. Our first time using the DDP about a year and a half ago, we were able to get what we wanted at Writer's Stop at MGM but during our last trip, we got to WS too late and they were closed.

If you can remember the DDP details please let me know.

Thanks

At least two of the stands where I bought iced coffee (Anandpur Tea Company and Epcot kiosk in Canada), they had signs announcing that they didn't take DDP. They also wouldn't take my Disney Visa Reward points. I was OK paying cash, however, since they were priced reasonably.

My guess is that the iced cappicino at the Enchanted Grove would have counted as a snack for the DDP.

Did any or all of the places have decaf iced coffee. DH can't have caffeine but loves him some iced coffee.b

My DH is very much a coffee snob, but he usually drinks his hot! WDW was an exception; when in warmer climes go for the cool drinks.

Glad you could find your fix at WDW! :thumbsup2

Never asked about decaf...sorry. But seems likely at the coffee kiosks...almost certainly he could ask for hot decaf poured over ice.

Thank you SO much for this thorough Iced Coffee Report. I too love iced coffee and don't understand WHY it's so hard to find at WDW. I mean, c'mon, it's HOT out people! We need our iced coffee! Perhaps it has something to do with the Nestle coffee contract that they can't get iced coffee. Also that iced coffee has to be double brewed so maybe Disney doesn't want to incur the expense of that. Who knows. Thanks for the tips. I wanted to add something I found out the hard way, I was jonesing for a coffee at Epcot and found out that those little coffee kiosks sometimes only take CASH. A real bummer since I use my room card charge to purchase everything and rarely carry cash at WDW. Can't understand why they can't get the kiosks on the charge system.
