What treat would you always get from the ice cream man as a child? My favorites were Bomb pops and push ups.

Our "ice cream man" was Mr. Softie--you got soft serve ice cream. We weren't allowed to get anything other than a "baby" cone--IF we were permitted a treat at all. My parents didn't "throw their money" around on things like going out to dinner, snacks at the pool, or the ice cream man. It was a really special thing to get a treat.

My kids, on the other hand, take it all for granted! Guess they're a bit spoiled. . . They enjoy: Chipburger for our daughter and our son gets something different each time but leans toward a Reese's IC Bar. My personal favorite--when I indulge (rarely) is a Snickers bar. My husband enjoys a plain old ice cream sandwich.

I still like fudge pops! My kids don't like them, they call them Poocycles! Go figure.

When I was young we had a soft serve Ice Cream man too. I would always get a vanilla cone dipped in chocolate.

Our Ice Cream man we have now Seth and I are hooked on Sponge Bob ice cream bars.

Mr. Softie here too. I would get a vanilla cone. I was, and still am, a plain Jane.

Oh I remember them, wasn't that some kind of figure on the stick at the end? WOW! I also loved toasted almond bars and cannonballs!

We had Mister Softee too! Loved that double cone!! When the Good Humor truck would come around I'd get the chocolate eclair or the strawberry shortcake.
