This is the first ever trip I've kept as a surprise from my DD - and its killing me :lmao:!!

I've booked for March next year, and I've told her thats when we're going. However, I've got a brill deal for end of November this year, so I'm going to cancel March, and we're going in 28 days time - eeep :banana::banana:.

Trip will be DD(8) and I as usual, flying from Luton to CDG on Sunday 29th November, and leaving the Magic on Wednesday 2nd December at park close.

Hotels are booked (Etap at Val d'Europe on the Sunday night, then 2 nights at the Santa Fe on Monday and Tuesday). Flights are booked and online check-in already done. Will be sorting out TGV tickets and travel insurance this week when DD isn't nosying around the computer ;). DD's ski suit (her first ever) has been bought (told her its for March next year) and today I got some of those powder cups of coffee - just add water - from the pound shop :).

Still to get thermals for DD (and possibly me too :eek:) and a new travel kettle. I'll no doubt get a really rubbish exchange rate for sterling into euros, but hey, whats new?

Anyhoo - I'm going to Disneyland at Christmas :love::love:!!!!
I'm soooooooo excited - and I can't tell anybody but you guys :banana::banana::banana:

Sounds a brilliant idea, I'm with Small World, we want details of how and when!!

How lovely, I love it when the children have surprise trips :goodvibes

For me Christmas Season is the best time to go (as long as you are well wrapped up).

So me as well as the others, when are you going to tell?

I'm going to wake her up in the morning on the day that we go, and say "we're going to Disneyland today" :goodvibes.
I'll have to pack both our cases in secret, so she doesn't twig beforehand. I would do something more elaborate, but she's 8, and I just can't think of anything that would suit her, and I'm useless at doing computer invitations etc.

Sounds wonderful Elaine, i know how hard it is keeping something like this a secret (its killing me inside aswell :lmao:)

I hope you both have a magical christmas trip :)

Thanks Emma - you're nearly at your Christmas in Disney :banana::banana:, I'm sure Kyra will love it. Do you think you'll get to the Eurostar station before she figures out where you're taking her?

I'm hoping so, just need to make sure she doesnt see the suitcase or the pushchair being taken to car otherwise i'm doomed :lmao:

How fantastic!

What an amazing surprise!:thumbsup2

(I wish someone would wake me up one morning and tell me they were taking me to Disney!:rotfl:)

Good luck with the thermals - I took mine last week and didn't need them! (Matalan do a good price!;))

Wow what a fantastic surprise! At your daughters age she will really appreciate the surprise. We booked a surprise visit for our girls for straight after christmas in 2006 and it was so hard to keep it to ourselves - eventually on Christmas day we served hot choc for thier supper and used the mickey mouse cardboard luggage tags as coasters ( you know the pair of ears ones) under each cup, we were giggling to ourselves waiting for them to notice the date filled in on the luggage tags! Our then 13 year old spotted them first and just started screaming nearly frightening her then 7 year old sister to death! Hope you have a ball :banana: :banana: :banana:

Ah, what a lovely surprise for her, wish my DH would wake me up to say that, rather than "where are the car keys love" :lmao:

This time next week we'll be there :cool1::cool1:.

I've had a minor panic this week, DD came down with a really nasty bug at school on Thursday, her temperature has been through the roof for 2 days and nights, but now she's almost back to normal - phew! After all this secrecy, I thought we might have to cancel the whole thing.

Now, I'm starting to panic about when exactly I'm going to be able to pack in secret. I did pick up a Bratz toothbrush with travel cap and little tube of toothpaste last week, I'm going to give it to her on Sunday morning, and tell her she needs to pack it straightaway, because we're off to Disneyland.

I can't wait :cheer2::cheer2:!!!!!

Todays the day :dance3::dance3::dance3:!!!

I woke DD up about half an hour ago, and said, "what do you fancy doing today"? She asked me the same question, and I said "I'd really like to go to Disneyland today - so shall we go?". It took her about 10 minutes of alternating between jumping up and down and hugging me in excitement, and asking "are you tricking me" before she's finally accepted we're off - in less than 2 hours :cool1:.

It was so worth all the planning and packing etc in secret, just to see her face this morning :goodvibes.

Oh that has made me want to cry :goodvibes Have a brilliant time, cannot wait to hear all about it
