I don't know if it's the gloomy cold weather up here in NOVA, but I've been thinking of HHN a lot as of late. It's one of my favorite things to do in the Orlando area, and we look forward to it every year. I was wondering if anyone else longs for it. Does anyone have any stories/memories they want to share? It might help those of us that are in need of a fix.

My friends and I wander around all year quoting "Bill & Ted." Sit in Finnegans every weekend just fighting the urge to go see a house. Keep checking the Rumors boards for any new hints. Yeah, definitely miss HHN.

HHN is the only reason I still call Orlando home.

Everytime I make a tasty beverage in my commerative HHN glass, I'm reminded of the time I've spent chugging my drink before entering a house. Our first HHN was in 2008 and I kick myself for not going earlier. I heard great things and it far exceeded my already high expectations.

Oh, I have some good ones from last year. Here is my favorite scare of the trip: (if any of you lurk on HNN, you may have already read this)

My favorite scarezone was 20 Years of Fear. I must've gone through that Prop Warehouse at least ten times a night, and I got a lot of attention from both casts. It was SO much fun. I should note that I was wearing my HNN shirt, and I was alone, so that made me an easy target.

Anyway, on Friday the 8th, I kept getting Cast B for most of the night, and their dead cheerleader decided she was going to follow me nearly EVERY time I came through. She drove me nuts, but I had to laugh because it was funny. I was going through yet again, got a few minor scares along the way, and then she started following me. "Wait for meeee!" I kept going, and then Alice (the woman carrying the broken mirror) popped up beside me and shouted "Run!" She startled me, I ducked down. "That's not running, that's cowering!" Somehow, I managed to make it out of there... only to have the two stilt creatures outside move to block my escape. I was like "Seriously?!" and used the sidewalk to go around them. The Sentinel Guard (stilt monster with the 13 on his outfit) didn't like that very much and came charging over to voice his displeasure. I tried to dodge him, but was too slow; he snarled right next to my ear and sent me scurrying. I stepped off the sidewalk, thinking "well that was fun" and continued on my way...

... and that's when the chainsaw fired up behind me. He got me good, I bolted down the street.

He yelled after me.

"THAT'S RUNNING!"

That's an awesome story. It's great when team members go above and beyond like that.

I'm missing HHN too. I've been rewatching my house videos on YouTube as "methadone" to tide me over until September/October. I especially miss Catacombs, Dogs of War and the dude in the pirate costume in Cindy's house that got me every time.

I was able to do Boo Camp last year at HHN. If anyone has ever thought of being a scareactor but you weren't sure..DO IT! It was a blast, though now I see a whole new reasoning to wanting to ban alcohol. My favorite scare that I got in the two or so hours we were doing it was this freaked out black lady, she was taking her friends picture with another zombie, I snuck up behind her and just breathed on her. She through the camera down and ran from where the zone started, all the way down to where the bathrooms were.
Seriously thinking of doing it on active backup this year....or trying to.

i live and breathe it.

4 years this october.......
i can't imagine doing Universal without you.

you push thru the crowds and i get to walk behind you at HHN.........

I have been to HHN a couple of times now and have always gone at the end of October. I didn't go last year and am eager to get back there this year. I was wondering whether to go late again or go earlier this year. Do they do anything special for Premier Pass holders at the beginning??

There is usually an AP party the first two weekends for Preferred and Premier passholders but that's about it.

See? I told you I couldn't remember anything. ;)

Have you been to the party? What's it like? Is it worth it?
Thanks
I went to the party several years ago but it wasn't all that great. They have drink specials and some photo ops with characters but that's about it.
