It really was beautiful there, better than I even thought.

Yay I love Beaches and Cream!!! We stopped there four times on our trip last month. I am not a huge burger person but they have the best cheeseburgers ever.
I love all your pictures of POR too. Such a pretty resort. I've only eated at Boatwright's once but I LOVED it there too. (Apparently I love a lot of things...in WDW anyway!)

7am wake up call.

OMG! I didn't know you were up that early!

So where was I going after check out?? Not home, nope, I was going to be meeting up with fellow DISer LurrrvTheDuck (Z from now on) and her friend Yani. She told me they wouldn’t be arriving until around 3pm so I figured I’d go into a park for a while, leave my stuff at Pop and they would pick me up there. That was the original plan…take note.

Yay!!!

So with hours to kill what did I do next? I went back to sleep! It was just too rainy. I slept until about 11:15 or so (I set the alarm on my phone) and got ready to officially check out of Pop and figure out what to do with myself for the next 3 hours.

Oh ok, phew. I would've napped too.

I didn’t know If I was able to check us in but decided to try, and I found a super nice CM who told me as long as I had the info on the room and my name was on it (I had it and it was) I was golden. He even got me out of line quicker by sending me to the concierge desk to check in! In no time flat I was checked in and we got our building request! BUT our room wasn’t ready, which was fine with me, at least we were checked in and all was good.

I checked my bags at luggage services and text-ed Z to tell her the good news. Turned out they were running late anyways and hadn’t left yet (it was about noonish I think) so it was lucky for me I checked in already!

so I headed to the only park I hadn’t been to yet…

I never made it here this trip.

I had a date with the yeti a few days coming so that’s where I went. I like to walk what I call “the back way” because AK is the only park I use a map for anymore because it confuses me easily.

Yeah that's why I drag Yani w/ me to this park. For some reason she knows the layout of the park like the back of her hand. She's Tour Guide Yani @ AK.

That’s another thing I “didn’t get to this trip” BTW. I had just missed the 1 something show.

I know I'm in the minority, but the few minutes of this show that I saw I wasn't too impressed with it. Maybe some day when I'm really bored at AK I'll do it.

The safari had I think a 20 minute wait so I decided to go for it, as it’s my other fav thing at AK. I got to listen to some funny people speculate what this ride was. I dunno why people go on something they don’t know. To each his own I suppose.

Uhh ok, the ride name is kinda self explanatory. Did they think it would be like jungle cruise with fake animals?

After KS I stopped on a bench to call POR to see if the room was ready. It was a bit after 3pm and Z had already text me they were super late and didn’t expect to be around till at least 5. The room was ready tho and I was ready for some relaxing and I was really excited to explore POR.

OMG we were just getting ready to leave, it was crazy. Again....mom drama.

I think I thought it might be you but you see so many lime green things that aren't fockers ya know?! Plus i was stressed that Z was late.

So last I left you I had checked into POR and headed to AK for a few hours. Last I got a text from Z she figured they’d be in around 6ish.

Yeah I was waaay off on that one.

OMG!!! No way!!! And you didn't point this out to me? Of course I never see the Hidden Mickey's (Kat was my hidden Mickey guru the entire trip)

Prior to all the drama surrounding window decorations, I printed out a few things for the window of the room. It wasn’t much but it always helps me to find the room. Z’s fav is Donald, Mine is Tink and Yani’s is Jack so that’s why they are all on the window.

They were so cool too, Kat did an awesome job! I was able to find the room because of them and I was all kinds of excited.

I watched some TV and waited for Z….

Finally around 8pm they arrived!!!!! They found the room and the nearby parking lot super fast and we were hugging in no time! First impressions: they were both awesome! It really was like we knew each other already, we chatted instantly and the conversation never lulled the whole vacation. They really are 2 awesome people and I was really happy and excited to share my vacation with them!

OMG we go sooooo lost ......again. I felt so bad, but was so happy to finally be there. Kat was so cute with the window decorations and we were playing phone tag as we drove into POR in the rain at night. I knocked on the door and she opened and we hugged and I apologized and we all started

Yes she was so sweet and bought me some stickers (since I'm a scrapbooker) and some little notebooks and a misty mate and even got some stuff for Yani.

and she got me a Tink mug and necklace! Thanks Z!!!!! The mug is on my Tink collection shelf!

So we were all starving at this point so we decided to try our luck at…

And after walking there and getting wet in a rain spurt they told us 45 minutes was the wait…

I kinda wanted to eat at Boatwrights and they said it was an 1 1/2 hour wait! and we were like ok, no way jose. Even though there didn't seem to be that many people in the actual restaurant.

and decided to head to our first choice of dinner…

We drove over to The Beach Club. It was really my first time driving anywhere in WDW. Z let me have the front seat all week, which was awesome of her. Yani had Evanescence playing on low all week so now every time I hear them I think of our trip.

I'm going to tell her that! Yeah the CD was in and we just never took it out until we went home.

Anyways back to dinner… we got lost trying to find our way to B&C cracking up the whole time. I knew we’d be having a giggle fest all week after that night!

Driving at night in the rain is not our forte. We did pretty good considering.

We got 2 of the Roast Beef Sandwiches (Z & Yani shared one). It was huge and yummy!!! It was exactly what I needed after a long time of no food!

Mmmmmm it was so good too.

We got back to the room about 11:30 that night and settled into bed. We def chatted for a while before sleeping so we got to bed anytime after midnight with an early wakeup call set.

Good times.
