i'm alive... working on my Christmas decorations today so no update, but maybe tomorrow or wed....

SO we left off with the 3 of us heading back to POR for a much needed nap!

We kept being greeted by some very cool towel animals too! I was particularly excited because I rarely had any done for me, just usually ones that were already in the room when we checked in.

This greeted us this day!

And this was in the room already.

So after our nap and some freshening up we headed out for our destination for the evening- The Polynesian. Can I just say how much I LOVE this resort? It is my dream resort (w/ a close 2nd by BC) and I just feel happy when I am there. I call it “My Poly” usually…don’t I wish.

We had dinner plans and then a very awesome gathering to attend, the first of many! We drove over there (thanks again Yani) and it made it so much easier than the bus to monorail transfer. I was spoiled by having the car this trip. Originally this was a dinner for just Z and myself but they added Yani on the ressie no problem and checked us in early. I have had breakfast here but never dinner and was very excited for this meal!

When we ordered our drinks Z ordered the Pirate’s Punch which comes with a light up Tinkerbell. Then she gave me the Tink! I was so happy! It was so super duper sweet of her!!! I just had water and if I remember correctly Yani had a coke.

The bread was awesome w the macadamia nut butter. Holy yum!

I went with 2 apps for my dinner. The crab cakes and the duck dumplings. Both were so yummy! And yes I ate them with the chop sticks!

Z & Yani both had the fillet, which looked really good too! They both loved it and ate it all up!

We did not go for dessert because we knew we’d be partaking in some adult beverages soon and that was enough dessert for us! We wandered around a while checking out the gift shops and stuff because we were early for our meet up with the other DISers (Fockers) .

After a bit we plopped on down at the Tambu Lounge, which is directly across from where the monorail lets you in, where are the comphy wicker chairs are. The 3 of us waited to see who we could see! I was so excited, this was one of the main reason for the trip!

We kept looking at everyone coming in, hoping to recognize someone and then magically (lol) Kate & her DH appeared! I swear we saw another couple sitting on their couch and then they were there. It was funny to us at least! We got to meet their very sweet kids! The suddenly all doubts of weather we’d recognize each other disappeared and LL started running over to Z & I yelling “Z! KAT!” and we hugged like old friends! We met her DH & son, Michael. Then Mel and her DH, NotBob came. Mel & I are very similar and I was so excited to finally meet her. And BTW yes Mel you and NotBob are are cute together as I thought you'd be! Then V and her little man, Leo came. Then Jo & her DD Jessica were next, and last but never least, my cuz Tracy (we have the same last name so we joke about being cousins) and her lovely family showed up! Z & I giggled together about meeting the famous Waldo from T’s TRs. It was like our own celebrity sighting!

The kiddos played amongst themselves and I really have to say what a great group of kids they were! I fell in love with all of them! They were so much fun, and so well behaved. These ladies sure know what they are doing when it comes to raising those kids!!! I really enjoyed watching them play together. I had a particularly cute moment with T’s daughter, Maddie. She tapped me on the shoulder and just said “HI” so we chatted a bit. She was just too cute. It’s hard to remember that we had never met before, I felt like I knew everyone and their kids too.

The grownups had a blast too! It was so great to chat with everyone! We were sort of interrupted by a performance in the lounge but we took over most of the lounge as it was! I truly had a great time meeting and talking with everyone, it was awesome to finally meet everyone IRL. I really admire and respect all these woman and it was a great day for us all to be together like that!

Our ranks started dwindling after a few hours , a lot of drinks, and no more pineapples! So before we headed out we sent Yani to the gift shop for a bag, because we needed to stash something in it for a fellow Focker.

This glass, once empty went into the bag. It was for a special someone. OK yea so we liberated it (I prefer that over stole, thank you very much) but it was just something that needed to be done. See last year Tracy misplaced her glass (I wasn’t there but the story is infamous among the fockers) so Z, Yani & I wanted to do something memorable involving the glass. Before Tracy left we handed her a gift bag and when she opened it her face was PRICELESS! I should have snapped a pic, oh well. We all had a great giggle and Tracy took her long lost Tiki Glass home with her finally! It was our contribution to Lapu Fest 2008!

Around 9pm the 3 of us decided to head out and catch a spot for Wishes. It was one of Z’s only requirements for this trip. I am always for Wishes, I love it! As we got to the monorail platform we realized Yani forgot her ticket in the room so she was a trooper and stayed at the Poly while Z & I went to the MK. We found ourselves a great spot next to a trash can so I could lean on it. I was using the fireworks setting on my digital camera for the first time so I wanted to be as steady as possible. While we waited we called our men to say hello. The rain mostly held off but we got a bit drizzled on. Luckily that meant Tink was still flying. I had never seen Tink fly in MK before. I usually see Wishes from somewhere too far away, so I was pumped to see her. The spot we got was right under her wire too!

At the end we caught each other crying and we had a moment! So of course all wet and splotchy we took a pic…ok I look wet, Z looks good- darn u photogenic person!

It was a great ending to the night. It really is hard to convey how easy it was to get along with Z, how it really seemed that we were old friends. It was truly a pleasure to share the moment with her like that!

We went and picked up Yani at The Poly and started the drive home. We got lost, as per usual with us the whole trip, and ended up finding some backwards way to POR that we had no idea existed! But we got home! We were in bed around midnight after some chatting, ready to sleep a bit and do it all over again!

One of my favorite moments of FF08! And it's not like you were lifting my Tiki guy. My OG one was STOLEN! That's right peeps, someone stole my well earned Tiki guy right from under my nose. Well that's my story and I'm sticking to it!
I love my Tiki man! He bids me goodnight from my dresser every night! So, thank you! thank you! thank you, ladies!

You know if you guys had opted to watch Wishes from the Tomorrowland Terrace you would have run into me and my family and would have been witness to the most shocking event of the trip.
